About the Role

We are looking for a proactive and organized Transport Executive to manage daily transportation operations, coordinate vehicle arrangements, monitor dispatches, control transportation costs, and ensure timely delivery of materials to customers.

Key Responsibilities

- Vehicle Planning & Placement
- Arrange trucks and commercial vehicles as per dispatch requirements.
- Coordinate with transporters, truck owners, and drivers for timely vehicle placement.
- Ensure vehicle availability as per customer delivery schedules.
- Dispatch & Delivery Coordination
- Coordinate with the Dispatch, Sales, Billing, and Accounts departments.
- Monitor vehicle loading, dispatch, and delivery status.
- Ensure timely delivery of materials to customers and follow up on delays.
- Transporter Management
- Develop and maintain good relationships with transporters and fleet owners.
- Negotiate freight rates and obtain competitive quotations.
- Maintain an updated database of transporters, vehicle details, and routes.
- Freight & Cost Control
- Verify freight charges, transportation bills, and supporting documents.
- Compare freight rates and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Maintain records of freight expenses and transport payments.
- Documentation & MIS
- Maintain LR/GR, e-way bill coordination, delivery challans, and Proof of Delivery (POD) records.
- Prepare daily vehicle placement, dispatch, delivery, and freight reports.




- Maintain accurate transportation data and pending delivery records.
- Issue Resolution
- Handle vehicle delays, transit issues, material shortages, and delivery-related complaints.
- Coordinate with relevant departments to resolve transportation issues promptly.
- Follow up on weight discrepancies and other dispatch-related concerns.
- Performance Monitoring
- Track vehicle placement time, on-time delivery, freight costs, and transporter performance.
- Ensure compliance with company procedures and transportation requirements.

Required Skills & Qualifications

- Graduate preferred; candidates with relevant transport experience may also apply.
- 2–5 years of experience in transport, logistics, or dispatch coordination.
- Experience in steel, manufacturing, trading, or heavy-material transportation will be an advantage.
- Good knowledge of truck placement, freight negotiation, and transporter management.
- Working knowledge of MS Excel, email, and transportation MIS.
- Solid coordination, negotiation, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple dispatches simultaneously.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Timely vehicle placement as per dispatch plan.
- On-time delivery percentage.
- Reduction in freight cost through effective negotiation.
- Accuracy of freight bills and transportation documentation.
- Timely submission and collection of PODs.
- Reduction in transit delays and transport-related complaints.
- Accuracy and timely submission of daily transport MIS.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
