About the Role
We are looking for a curious and enthusiastic SEO Intern who wants to build a career in Search Engine Optimization and Digital Marketing.
You will work with our SEO and Digital Marketing Team and get hands-on experience working on real websites and client projects.
This role is ideal for a fresher who enjoys research, content, Google search, analytics and learning how websites grow organically.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in executing SEO strategies for company and client websites.
- Perform keyword research and identify relevant keywords based on search intent.
- Assist with On-Page SEO activities such as:
- Title tags
- Meta descriptions
- Heading optimization
- URL optimization
- Internal linking
- Image ALT tags
- Content optimization
- Assist in Off-Page SEO activities including link-building and business/profile listings.
- Conduct competitor and keyword research to identify SEO opportunities.
- Assist in creating and optimizing SEO-friendly website content and blogs.
- Monitor website rankings, organic traffic, clicks and impressions.
- Work with the content team to improve content based on SEO requirements.
- Assist with Google Business Profile / Local SEO activities.
- Identify basic technical SEO issues and coordinate with the development team for corrections.
- Help monitor website performance using SEO and analytics tools.
- Prepare basic weekly/monthly SEO reports.
- Stay updated with Google algorithm updates, SEO trends and best practices.
- Learn and experiment with AI tools for SEO research, content optimization and analysis.
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of SEO and Digital Marketing.
- Understanding of how Google Search works is an advantage.
- Basic knowledge of keyword research and search intent.
- Good written communication and research skills.
- Basic understanding of website content and HTML is preferred.
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to research competitors and identify opportunities.
- Willingness to learn new SEO tools and techniques.
- Valuable attention to detail.
- Ability to work in a team and meet deadlines.
SEO Tools – Basic Knowledge Preferred
Candidates having basic knowledge of any of the following tools will have an advantage:
- Google Search Console
- Google Analytics (GA4)
- Google Keyword Planner
- Google Trends
- SEMrush / Ahrefs
- Screaming Frog
- Google Business Profile
- WordPress
- Canva – basic knowledge
Freshers can apply even if they have not worked with all these tools.
Bonus Skills
- Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS.
- Experience writing blogs or website content.
- Understanding of Local SEO.
- Basic knowledge of Technical SEO.
- Knowledge of competitor analysis.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT or other SEO-related AI tools.
- Personal blog, college project or previous SEO project experience.
