About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and compassionate Counsellor to join our Social Work team at Thondamuthur, Coimbatore.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in counselling, mental health, or psychosocial rehabilitation. The role involves providing individual and family support, coordinating therapeutic activities, monitoring client progress, and collaborating with clinical and medical teams throughout the recovery journey.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct individual supportive counselling and psychoeducation sessions.
- Monitor clients' emotional well-being and behavioural progress.
- Assist with client admissions, orientation, and discharge coordination.
- Facilitate group activities and therapeutic programmes.
- Coordinate family sessions and maintain regular communication with family members.
- Prepare daily client updates, weekly observation reports, and monthly progress reports.
- Coordinate consultations with psychiatrists, general physicians,



and other specialists.
- Support medication verification in coordination with the medical team.
- Maintain session notes, incident reports, consent forms, and other client documentation.
- Participate in interdisciplinary meetings and case presentations.
- Coordinate client activities and approved external consultations.

Eligibility Criteria

- M.S.W. in Medical & Psychiatry is mandatory.
- 3–5 years of relevant professional experience in counselling, mental health, or rehabilitation.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Good documentation and coordination abilities.
- Empathy, patience, and a client-centred approach.
- Ability to collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.
- Interest in mental health and psychosocial rehabilitation.
