Job Title: Service Advisor – PDI (Pre-Delivery Inspection)

1. Job Purpose

To coordinate and monitor the Pre-Delivery Inspection (PDI) of new Eicher commercial vehicles, ensuring that every vehicle is inspected according to company standards, identified defects are rectified, and the vehicle is ready for delivery to the customer.

2. Key Responsibilities

A. Vehicle Inspection Coordination

- Coordinate PDI activities for newly received Eicher commercial vehicles.
- Ensure vehicles undergo inspection according to the prescribed Eicher PDI checklist.
- Verify vehicle details, chassis number, engine number, model, and other relevant information.
- Coordinate with technicians to complete all required inspection activities.

B. Defect Identification and Rectification

- Identify and record defects or damages noticed during PDI.
- Prepare job cards or inspection reports for identified issues.
- Coordinate with technicians and the workshop team to ensure timely rectification.
- Reinspect vehicles after repairs and confirm that reported issues have been resolved.

C. Documentation and Reporting

- Maintain PDI checklists, vehicle inspection reports, and job card records.
- Update vehicle inspection status and pending defect details.
- Maintain records of completed and pending PDI vehicles.
- Submit daily PDI status reports to the Service Manager / Works Manager.

D. Vehicle Readiness and Quality Control

- Ensure the prescribed PDI checks are completed before vehicle delivery.
- Verify the condition of tyres, battery, lights, brakes, fluids, instruments, and other applicable inspection points.
- Ensure required accessories, documents,



and vehicle preparation activities are completed as per dealership procedures.
- Coordinate final inspection and approval before releasing the vehicle for delivery.

E. Coordination and Customer Support

- Coordinate with the sales team regarding vehicle delivery schedules and readiness.
- Inform the concerned departments about PDI delays, defects, and pending activities.
- Support the resolution of vehicle-related issues before delivery.
- Ensure timely communication and proper handover of vehicle inspection status.

F. Safety and Housekeeping

- Ensure vehicles are handled safely during inspection and movement.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the PDI area.
- Follow workshop safety procedures and company standards.

3. Qualifications and Skills

- Minimum qualification: Diploma / ITI in Automobile or Mechanical Engineering is preferred.
- Knowledge of commercial vehicle systems and basic vehicle inspection procedures.
- Experience in an automobile dealership or service workshop is an advantage.
- Basic computer knowledge and report preparation skills.
- Good communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and manage multiple vehicles.

4. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)

- Timely completion of PDI inspections.
- Accuracy and completeness of PDI checklists.
- Timely rectification of identified defects.
- Reduction in vehicle defects reported after delivery.
- Proper maintenance of PDI documentation.
- Timely readiness of vehicles according to delivery schedules.

Expected Outcome: Ensure that every new Eicher commercial vehicle completes the prescribed PDI process, meets dealership quality standards, and is ready for safe and timely customer delivery.

Pay: ₹14,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
