JOB DESCRIPTION – PROJECT HEAD (TPQA – CLIENT PROJECTS)

Role Purpose

Independently manage Third-Party Quality Assurance & Quality Control (TPQA – QA/QC) and Manufacturing Stage Quality Inspections (MSQI) for assigned client projects. Ensure quality compliance across Civil, Structural, MEP, and Finishing works by implementing quality procedures, conducting inspections, monitoring corrective actions, and overseeing client coordination, inspection teams, technical reporting, and project deliverables.

Key Responsibilities

· Lead TPQA/MSQI activities for high-rise residential projects in accordance with approved drawings, applicable IS codes, technical specifications, Inspection and Test Plans (ITPs), and Method Statements.

· Quality Assurance (QA): Ensure quality processes, procedures, ITPs, Method Statements, and Quality Management System (QMS) requirements are implemented and followed. Promote preventive measures and continuous quality improvement.

· Quality Control (QC): Conduct and oversee site inspections, identify construction defects, record non-conformities, verify corrective actions, and ensure construction work meets approved standards and specifications.

· Oversee Civil and Structural inspections, including Mivan formwork, reinforcement, shuttering, concreting, masonry, waterproofing,



and finishing works.

· Coordinate MEP inspections covering electrical, plumbing, drainage, firefighting, and HVAC installations.

· Review inspection reports, checklists, test records, Non-Conformance Reports (NCRs), and quality documentation for technical accuracy and timely client submission.

· Monitor recurring defects, pending observations, corrective actions, and NCR closures; ensure effective root-cause analysis and preventive measures.

· Act as the primary client contact for quality reviews, technical discussions, progress updates, escalations, and audit closure meetings.

· Lead and deploy inspection engineers, plan manpower requirements, monitor team performance, and ensure adequate inspection coverage across assigned projects.

· Track quality scores, inspection progress, recurring observations, and closure status; prepare management reports and recommend improvements.

· Ensure compliance with TPQA procedures, applicable ISO 9001 requirements, and project-specific quality standards.

Skills & Competencies

· Strong Civil QA/QC expertise and construction-stage inspection knowledge.

· Proven experience in high-rise residential construction,



preferably using Mivan technology.

· Working knowledge of MEP and finishing QA/QC inspections.

· Good understanding of IS codes, ITPs, Method Statements, NCR management, root-cause analysis, and quality documentation.

· Ability to implement QA systems, conduct quality audits, monitor QC activities, and drive continuous improvement.

· Excellent client handling, team leadership, technical reporting, and multi-project coordination skills.

Qualifications & Experience

· BE/B.Tech in Civil Engineering is mandatory.

· Minimum 14+ years of relevant construction QA/QC experience.

· Third-party quality inspection, MSQI, and construction quality auditing experience strongly preferred.

· Proven experience in client coordination, team management, inspection planning, and project quality reporting.

· ISO 9001/QMS Auditor certification is an added advantage.

Candidate Preference: Candidates with strong high-rise residential construction experience and proven third-party quality assurance, quality control, and inspection capabilities will be preferred.

Candidates whose experience is limited to roads, infrastructure, or water-related projects, without relevant residential construction exposure, are not preferred.
