About the Role

Zipflo Logistics Solutions Pvt Ltd is looking for an experienced Chief Accounts Manager to lead the accounts function and team, maintain accurate financial records, strengthen financial controls, and provide timely reports to management. The role requires strong team handling, planning, delegation, and coordination skills. Experience in transport, logistics, fleet operations, or a business with multiple branches will be preferred.

Key Responsibilities

Accounts and Financial Reporting

- Manage day-to-day accounting, ledger scrutiny, reconciliations, and monthly and annual closing.
- Prepare monthly profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
- Present a concise monthly CEO report covering profitability, collections, outstanding payments, expenses, and key financial concerns.
- Coordinate with auditors and the company’s CA for audits and finalization of accounts.

Team Handling and Management

- Lead, supervise, and develop the accounts team, with clear responsibilities and accountability for each member.
- Plan daily, weekly, and monthly workloads; delegate tasks and monitor completion against deadlines.
- Set individual and team targets for billing, collections follow-up, reconciliations, and accounts closing.
- Review the team’s work for accuracy and completeness, resolve errors, and ensure timely corrective action.
- Conduct regular team meetings to review progress, pending work, and operational challenges.
- Train and mentor team members in accounting processes, software, compliance, and reporting.
- Evaluate employee performance, provide constructive feedback, and identify training needs.
- Maintain discipline,



attendance, qualified conduct, and effective communication within the department.
- Plan backup responsibilities and handovers to ensure continuity during leave or staff changes.
- Support recruitment, induction, and development of accounts personnel.
- Coordinate with operations, HR, sales, and branch teams to resolve issues and ensure timely information flow.
- Take ownership of departmental performance and escalate significant issues to management with proposed solutions.

Billing and Collections

- Ensure timely and accurate customer billing, with supporting trip documents and proof of delivery.
- Monitor unbilled trips, customer deductions, disputed invoices, and overdue receivables.
- Coordinate with operations and customers to resolve billing issues and improve collections.
- Reconcile customer and vendor accounts regularly.

Cash Flow and Payment Control

- Prepare cash flow forecasts and daily and weekly fund requirements.
- Plan vendor payments, salaries, statutory payments, loan instalments, and other commitments.
- Maintain control over bank balances, cash transactions, advances, and payment approvals.
- Monitor outstanding Pilot, employee, and vendor advances and ensure timely settlement.

Transport and Fleet Accounting

- Review trip expenses, fuel costs, toll charges, maintenance expenses, and vendor bills.
- Monitor vehicle-wise, route-wise, branch-wise, and customer-wise profitability.
- Reconcile fuel purchases, fuel credit accounts, FASTag statements, and trip settlements.
- Track vehicle loans, insurance payments,



fixed assets, and depreciation.

Compliance and Internal Controls

- Oversee applicable GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance in coordination with the company’s CA.
- Ensure proper documentation, accounting entries, and timely reconciliations.
- Establish checks to prevent duplicate payments, unsupported expenses, and accounting errors.
- Maintain clear approval processes and records for audit.
- Implement standard operating procedures and improve accounting processes to reduce manual work.

Qualifications and Skills

- B.Com or M.Com; CA, CA Inter, or CMA qualifications will be an advantage.
- Proven experience leading an accounts team, including delegation, performance reviews, and staff development.
- Strong working knowledge of Tally Prime or a comparable accounting ERP.
- Good command of Excel, including pivot tables, lookups, and financial reporting.
- Practical experience in GST, TDS, reconciliations, audits, and financial closing.
- Strong planning, problem-solving, and coordination skills.
- Ability to meet deadlines and communicate clearly with management and other departments.
- High standards of integrity, confidentiality, accuracy, and ownership.

- Timely bank, customer, vendor, and fuel account reconciliations.

- Timely completion of team tasks, reduced accounting errors, and closure of pending work.

Pay: ₹40,000.00 - ₹80,000.00 per month
