Job Summary

Cloudberry Dentals International is seeking a qualified and skilled Oral and Maxillofacial Surgeon (OMFS) to join our growing dental healthcare network. The successful candidate will provide comprehensive surgical care for patients with oral, dental, and maxillofacial conditions, ensuring high standards of clinical quality, patient safety, and professional care.

The ideal candidate should have strong surgical skills, sound clinical judgement, and the ability to work collaboratively with general dentists and other specialists.

Key Responsibilities

- Diagnose and manage oral and maxillofacial conditions requiring surgical intervention.
- Perform minor oral surgical procedures, including surgical extractions, impacted tooth removal, and management of odontogenic infections, within the scope of competence and facility capabilities.
- Evaluate and manage dentoalveolar trauma and appropriate oral surgical emergencies.
- Perform pre-operative assessments, surgical planning, and post-operative reviews.
- Provide surgical management of oral and maxillofacial conditions according to qualifications, privileges, and clinical indications.
- Assess patients for dental implant procedures and perform implant-related surgical procedures where appropriately trained and privileged.
- Identify cases requiring hospital admission, advanced imaging, multidisciplinary care, or referral to a higher-level facility.
- Explain diagnoses, treatment options, risks, advantages, and post-operative instructions to patients and caregivers.
- Obtain appropriate informed consent and maintain complete clinical records.
- Coordinate with dentists, orthodontists, prosthodontists, and other medical and dental specialists.
- Ensure compliance with infection prevention, sterilisation,



surgical safety, and clinical documentation protocols.
- Monitor post-operative healing, complications, and patient outcomes.
- Support clinical audits, quality improvement initiatives, and patient education activities.

Qualifications

- MDS in Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery from a recognised institution.
- Valid registration with the relevant State Dental Council / Dental Council of India, as applicable.
- Demonstrated competency in oral and maxillofacial surgical procedures.
- Good knowledge of surgical protocols, patient assessment, and post-operative care.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and patient counselling skills.

Preferred Skills

- Experience in dentoalveolar surgery and management of impacted teeth.
- Experience in dental implant surgery, where appropriately trained.
- Familiarity with oral and maxillofacial trauma assessment and referral pathways.
- Ability to identify complex cases requiring hospital-based multidisciplinary management.
- Knowledge of clinical documentation, informed consent, and infection control standards.
- Commitment to ethical practice and evidence-based patient care.
