- Create detailed freehand/manual sketches of rings, earrings, pendants, necklaces, bracelets, bangles and bridal jewellery.
- Develop new designs based on customer requirements, brand concepts and current market trends.
- Prepare accurate sketches with proper proportion, dimensions, stone placement and detailing.
- Develop customized jewellery designs according to client requirements.
- Coordinate with CAD Designers, Karigars, Production and Merchandising teams for design execution.
- Review CAD designs and provide corrections to ensure the original design concept is maintained.
- Ensure designs are aesthetically appealing, wearable and practically feasible for manufacturing.
- Research jewellery, fashion and market trends to develop fresh design concepts.
- Modify and refine designs based on feedback from customers or management.
- Assist in developing new collections, seasonal ranges and product concepts.
- Maintain proper records and an organized portfolio of designs.
- Ensure all designs meet company quality and design standards.
- Strong knowledge of jewellery proportions, shapes and design elements.
- Positive understanding of gold, diamonds, gemstones and jewellery settings.
- Knowledge of jewellery manufacturing and production processes.
- Creative thinking and robust visualization skills.
- Solid attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work within deadlines and handle multiple design requirements.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Basic understanding of CAD jewellery design is an advantage.
Candidate Profile
The ideal candidate should have a strong portfolio of manual jewellery sketches, good knowledge of jewellery construction and an ability to convert creative concepts into commercially viable designs.
