We are looking for an enrolled advocate with a minimum of 2 years of experience in the fields below, who is a fast, accurate bilingual(English & Tamil) typing, can take shorthand, is comfortable with computers and e-filing, reads and writes Tamil confidently, and can independently draft petitions, notices, opinions, title reports, and litigation documents.
Eligibility
- Enrolled as an Advocate with the Bar Council of Tamil Nadu and Puducherry
- LL.B. degree from a recognised university
- Minimum 2 years of experience in drafting and legal practice
Experience Required in
- Drafting petitions, applications, affidavits, plaints and written statements
- Preparing legal notices and replies to notices
- Writing legal opinions
- Conducting title searches and preparing title reports
- Drafting documents for all types of litigation (civil, criminal, revenue, family, consumer, sarfaesi and negotiable instrument matters)
Skills Required in
- Speed typing in English and Tamil
- Shorthand
- Working knowledge of computers (MS Word, Excel, PDF tools, email)
- Familiarity with e-filing and online court and records portals
- Expertise in reading and writing Tamil, including old deeds and revenue records
Responsibilities in
- Drafting complaints, petitions, counter statements, applications, affidavits, plaints, and written statements
- Preparing legal notices and replies to notices
- Writing legal opinions
