Job Summary

DES-TECH Academy is looking for a knowledgeable and experienced Part-Time HVAC/MEP Faculty member to conduct classroom training in HVAC system design, heat load calculation, and HVAC/MEP drafting software.

The ideal candidate should have strong practical knowledge of HVAC design and drawing, along with a minimum of 6 months of teaching experience in the relevant field. The primary responsibility will be to provide practical, job-oriented training to students aspiring to build careers in HVAC and MEP design.

Candidates must be able to attend classes in person at our Kadavanthra, Ernakulam training centre.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct classroom training in HVAC system design and MEP drafting.
- Teach HVAC heat load calculation and practical design procedures.
- Provide hands-on training in HAP, E20 Sheet, Duct Sizer, and Pipe Sizer.
- Teach AutoCAD 2D for HVAC/MEP drawings.
- Teach Revit MEP, particularly HVAC modelling and drafting.
- Explain HVAC design concepts, drawing standards, and practical industry applications.
- Guide students through design exercises, drawing assignments, and practical projects.
- Maintain punctuality and ensure effective delivery of the assigned classes.

Required Skills and Knowledge

Candidates must have thorough working knowledge of the following:

- HVAC System Design
- HVAC Heat Load Calculation
- E20 Sheet
- HAP (Hourly Analysis Program)
- Duct Sizer
- Pipe Sizer
- AutoCAD 2D – HVAC/MEP Drafting
- Revit MEP – HVAC Design and Modelling

Primary focus: HVAC/MEP design, calculations, drafting, and practical software training.





Eligibility and Experience

- Minimum 6 months of teaching or training experience in HVAC/MEP or a closely related field.
- Solid practical knowledge of HVAC design and drafting.
- Ability to explain technical concepts clearly and guide students through practical exercises.
- Relevant technical qualifications in B.Tech Mechanical Engineering, HVAC, MEP, or a related discipline are preferred.
- A personal laptop is mandatory for conducting software-based classes.

Working Hours

Candidates may choose either of the following teaching slots, subject to the academy's scheduling requirements:

- Morning: 10:00 AM – 1:00 PM
- Afternoon: 2:00 PM – 5:00 PM

Minimum teaching commitment: 3 hours per day, 5 days per week.

Remuneration and Payment

- Weekly remuneration: ₹2,000 for 5 days of classes.
- Payment will be made every Saturday.
- This is a part-time teaching engagement; it is not a full-time salaried position.

Work Location and Attendance

Classes are conducted offline at DES-TECH Academy's training centre in Kadavanthra, Ernakulam, Kerala. The selected candidate must be able to travel to the centre and attend classes physically as scheduled.
