- Reading blueprints: Reviewing technical drawings, work orders, and measurements for each job.
- Selecting materials: Choosing the correct uPVC profiles, glass panes, and hardware (handles, locks, hinges).
2. Cutting and Shaping
- Measuring precisely: Marking exact cutting lines on uPVC lengths to minimize waste.
- Operating machinery: Using specialized saws and routers to cut profiles to the required lengths and angles (mitre cuts).
- Prepping for hardware: Routing and drilling holes for locks, handles, and drainage channels.
3. Assembly and Welding
- Fusion welding: Using a heat-welding machine to melt and join the corners of the uPVC frames together securely.
- Cleaning welds: Using corner cleaning machines or hand tools to remove excess plastic (sprue) from the welded joints for a smooth finish.
- Fitting gaskets:
Inserting rubber seals around the frame to ensure the windows and doors are weatherproof.
4. Hardware and Glazing
- Installing hardware: Screwing in hinges, multi-point locks, keeps, and handles.
- Glazing: Fitting double or triple-glazed glass units into the frames and securing them with plastic glazing beads.
5. Quality Control and Safety
- Inspecting products: Checking finished products for correct dimensions, smooth operation, and defects.
- Maintaining safety: Wearing protective gear (safety glasses, ear protection) and keeping the workshop clean.
Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
