It has two wholesale distribution businesses: Swastik Traders, which supplies construction and farming materials, and Optima Distributors, which supplies household products. Job Summary

Pragathy Group is looking for a proactive and people-focused HR Manager to lead the Human Resources function across the group. The successful candidate will manage recruitment, employee relations, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, and HR policies, while guiding the HR team and supporting the management in building a high-performing workforce.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the HR team, including the HR Associate.
- Plan manpower requirements and manage end-to-end recruitment across all divisions.
- Oversee onboarding, employee documentation, attendance, leave, and HR records.
- Coordinate monthly payroll inputs with the Accounts team and ensure accuracy.
- Ensure compliance with PF, ESI, labour laws, and other statutory HR requirements.
- Develop, implement, and review HR policies, SOPs, and employee handbooks.
- Manage employee relations, grievance handling, discipline, and engagement initiatives.
- Drive performance appraisal, training, and retention programmes.
- Present periodic HR MIS reports and manpower data to the management.

Required Qualifications & Skills

Education

- Any Bachelor's Degree
- MBA / PG in Human Resources preferred

Experience & Skills

- Minimum 6–8 years of experience in HR management, including team handling.
- Solid knowledge of recruitment, payroll coordination, PF, ESI, and labour laws.
- Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills.
- Working knowledge of HRMS / ERP software and MS Office (Word, Excel).




- Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Experience in Trading, Distribution, Retail, or FMCG-related organizations.
- Experience in multi-division or multi-location HR operations.
- Fluency in Malayalam and English.

Key Responsibilities





- Support end-to-end recruitment, including sourcing, screening, and scheduling interviews.
- Post job advertisements on Indeed and other job portals and manage candidate responses.
- Handle onboarding, joining formalities, and employee documentation.
- Maintain employee records, attendance, leave, and HR databases.
- Prepare attendance and payroll inputs and coordinate with the Accounts team.
- Assist with PF, ESI, and other statutory HR compliance.
- Address employee queries and support employee engagement activities.
- Assist the HR Manager with policy implementation and HR reports.
