ABOUT EDGESENSE

EdgeSense is the Industrial IoT monitoring platform of Rhosigma Engineering and Automations Pvt Ltd. We help utilities and manufacturers monitor energy, power quality, machine health and environmental parameters by connecting field sensors and meters through gateways to the EdgeSense cloud platform, with live dashboards, alerts and reports. We are building a lean, capable team that owns the complete customer journey: Lead → Solution Design → Proposal → POC → Order → Implementation → Customer Success → AMC / Upsell.

JOB PURPOSE

To convert customer requirements into technically viable, commercially practical and scalable EdgeSense solutions.

This person is the technical brain between Sales, the Customer and the Project Team.

Every solution designed by the Pre-Sales Engineer should cover the full chain:

Sensors → Meters → Gateway → Communication → EdgeSense Platform → Dashboard → Alerts → Reports

KEY RESPONSIBILITIESRequirement Analysis

- Understand the customer application.

- Study the existing infrastructure.

- Identify monitoring parameters.

- Prepare the technical requirement document.

- Identify integration requirements.

Technical Design

- Sensor selection

- Meter selection

- Gateway selection

- Communication protocol selection (Modbus, RS485, Ethernet, MQTT, etc.)

- Network architecture

- Data acquisition architecture





- Cloud architecture

- Dashboard requirements

- API / integration requirements

Proposal & Documentation

Prepare:

- Technical proposal

- System architecture

- Bill of quantities (BOQ)

- Technical specifications

- Scope of work and exclusions

- Implementation methodology

- POC methodology

- Technical presentations

- Tender technical documentation

Proof of Concept (POC)

- Design the POC architecture.

- Define the parameters to be demonstrated.

- Coordinate with the Sales and Project Teams.

- Validate technical performance.

- Prepare the POC report.

Internal Support

Support the team across:

Sales → Proposal → POC → Project Handover

KEY PERFORMANCE INDICATORS (KPIs)

Performance in this role will be measured on:

■ Proposal turnaround time

■ Technical proposal accuracy

■ POC success rate

■ POC-to-order conversion

■ Solution gross margin

■ Technical error rate

IDEAL CANDIDATEEducation

B.E. / B.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, Instrumentation, E&TC; or a related discipline.

Experience

3–8 years of experience in:

- Industrial IoT

- Automation

- Electrical

- Instrumentation

- SCADA,PLC

- Energy management

- Industrial networking

Skills & Attributes

- Strong technical documentation skills are essential.

- Able to design end-to-end architecture from field device to dashboard.

- Working knowledge of industrial protocols and networking.

- Can prepare accurate BOQs and costed solutions.

- Confident presenting to technical and management audiences.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
