We are looking for an experienced Research Scientist to join our R&D; team and contribute to scientific research and cutting-edge product development.

Job Description

The Research Scientist will be responsible for conducting scientific research, developing creative nutraceutical formulations, improving existing products, and supporting new product development. The ideal candidate should have strong technical knowledge of food technology, nutraceutical ingredients, formulation development, and scientific research, along with practical experience in the nutraceutical manufacturing industry.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct research and development of nutraceutical products, dietary supplements, vitamins, minerals, herbal formulations, and sports nutrition products.
- Research new ingredients, botanical extracts, bioactive compounds, and emerging nutraceutical technologies.
- Develop, evaluate, and optimize formulations based on scientific evidence, product requirements, and market trends.
- Evaluate ingredient compatibility, stability, bioavailability, dosage, and product performance.
- Review scientific literature, clinical studies, research papers,



and technical publications.
- Design and conduct laboratory experiments, formulation trials, and product optimization studies.
- Lead and support new product development (NPD), product improvement, and technology transfer.
- Prepare scientific research reports, technical documentation, formulation records, and product specifications.
- Coordinate with QC, QA, Production, and Regulatory Affairs teams to ensure smooth product development and manufacturing.
- Ensure compliance with applicable FSSAI regulations, GMP requirements, and relevant quality and safety standards.
- Evaluate raw materials, ingredient suppliers, and new technologies for product development.
- Provide scientific and technical support for ingredient selection, product claims, and evidence-based formulations.
- Troubleshoot formulation-related issues and recommend appropriate corrective measures.
- Stay updated on the latest scientific developments, nutraceutical innovations, and industry trends.

Required Qualifications

- B.Tech., M.Tech., or Ph.D. in Food Technology.
- Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in nutraceutical research, formulation development, or scientific R&D.;
- Strong knowledge of nutraceutical ingredients, herbal extracts, dietary supplements,



and sports nutrition.
- Experience in scientific research, experimental design, data analysis, and technical report preparation.
- Knowledge of formulation optimization, product stability, ingredient interactions, and regulatory requirements.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, research, and documentation skills.

Preferred Candidate Profile

- Hands-on experience in nutraceutical formulation and product development.
- Ability to interpret scientific studies and translate research findings into commercially viable products.
- Familiarity with GMP, FSSAI requirements, quality standards, and product development documentation.
- Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and manage multiple research projects.
- Solid scientific approach, attention to detail, and commitment to product quality and innovation.
