Role Description

The Social Media Manager role at Dcode IAS Academy is a full-time, on-site position based in Anna Nagar, Chennai. The Social Media Manager will plan, create, and publish content across social media platforms to increase brand awareness and engagement with learners and prospects. Day-to-day responsibilities include managing social media calendars, crafting posts, optimizing content for reach and performance, responding to comments and messages, and coordinating with academic and marketing teams to highlight courses, events, and success stories. The role also involves monitoring analytics, refining strategies based on data, and ensuring consistent brand voice and messaging across all channels. The Social Media Manager will contribute ideas for campaigns and collaborate on multimedia content such as short videos, graphics, and live sessions.

Since our audience primarily consists of UPSC aspirants, the ability to create content that resonates with their journey, challenges,



and aspirations is a significant advantage in this role.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess skills in Social Media Marketing and Social Media Optimization (SMO) to manage and grow online presence effectively.
- Candidates should possess robust Communication and Writing skills to create clear, engaging, and learner-focused content.
- Candidates should possess skills in Content Strategy to plan campaigns, align messaging with marketing goals, and maintain a consistent brand narrative.
- Candidates should ideally have experience with social media analytics tools, basic design or video tools, and familiarity with major platforms such as Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, and LinkedIn.
- Relevant qualifications may include a degree or certification in Marketing, Communications, Media, or a related field, along with prior experience in education or training sectors.
- Candidates should demonstrate the ability to work on-site in a collaborative environment, manage multiple tasks, and stay updated on social media trends and best practices.

Preferred Profile (Not Compulsory)

- UPSC-based knowledge is preferable, though not compulsory. Familiarity with the UPSC examination pattern, syllabus, and the aspirant mindset will enable the candidate to create more authentic, relatable, and targeted content.
- Candidates with past experience in the UPSC domain will be preferred — whether as a current or former aspirant, or through prior work experience with a UPSC coaching institute, edtech platform, or UPSC-focused content creation.

Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
