CIVIL TEC Job Description – Civil Draftsman (Approval Office) Position: Civil Draftsman / CAD Draftsman Department: Building Plan Approval & Civil Engineering Company: CIVIL TEC Job Location: HOSUR Employment Type: Full-Time Job Summary CIVIL TEC is looking for a skilled and responsible Civil Draftsman to prepare building plan drawings, approval drawings, and technical documentation for statutory approvals from DTCP, HNTDA/HCMC, local bodies, and other relevant departments. Key Responsibilities Prepare building plan drawings, site plans, floor plans, elevations, sections, and area statements using AutoCAD. Prepare drawings for DTCP, HNTDA, Corporation, Municipality, Panchayat, and other applicable approval authorities. Prepare site layouts, subdivision plans, road layouts, and land development drawings. Check building setbacks, FSI/FAR, plot coverage, road widths, parking, and other applicable planning requirements. Update DWG drawings based on FMB sketches, survey details, site measurements, and revised road layouts. Coordinate with engineers, surveyors, clients, and approval consultants. Prepare drawings and documents required for online approval applications. Make drawing corrections and revisions as per departmental comments. Maintain drawing files, approval records, and project documentation.



Ensure drawings comply with applicable building rules and approval requirements. Required Qualifications Diploma in Civil Engineering / Civil Draftsmanship or equivalent qualification. Good working knowledge of AutoCAD 2D. Knowledge of building plan approval procedures and statutory drawing requirements. Ability to read survey sketches, FMB sketches, and site measurements. Basic knowledge of building regulations, setbacks, FSI, and area calculations. Preferred Skills Experience in DTCP /HNTDA/HCMC, local-body approval drawings. Knowledge of online building plan approval portals. Accuracy in measurements, dimensions, and drawing presentation. Positive coordination, time management, and documentation skills. Experience Freshers with good AutoCAD skills may apply. Experienced candidates with building approval drawing experience will be preferred. Salary Negotiable based on qualifications, skills, and experience.
