Job Title :Field Application Engineer

Location: Surat, RIL Site (with frequent travel to customer sites)
Reports To: Technical Manager / Project Manager
Deputation: RIL Site (3 months)

Role Summary

The Field Application Engineer delivers Annual Maintenance Contract (AMC) services for customer sites, covering troubleshooting, configuration, verification and documentation for software, PLC and SCADA systems. The role ensures every site visit is completed and properly closed by collecting the signed Minutes of Meeting (MoM) and Job Measurement Sheet (JMS).

Key ResponsibilitiesAMC Site Visits

- Visit customer sites as per the AMC schedule
- Inspect and maintain the software and applications of X-Force, PLC, SCADA and HMI systems
- Verify and document system health status

Service Execution

- Troubleshoot and resolve site issues
- Perform necessary configuration changes and software updates
- Coordinate with the Lead Engineer and Project Manager

Customer Interaction

- Interact with site engineers to understand issues
- Update the customer on actions taken and get the MoM signed

Documentation

- Prepare the MoM and get it signed
- Fill in the JMS and get it signed
- Collect the signed customer satisfaction form from the user
- Update visit logs and service reports

Reporting





- Submit daily and weekly reports to the Technical Manager
- Maintain backups of configurations and documents

Compliance

- Adhere to company policies and customer safety protocols
- Maintain discipline and qualified behaviour on site

- Travel: High, with frequent visits to customer sites across regions

Required Qualification and Experience

- Qualification: Diploma or Degree in Engineering or Technology
- Experience: 1–2 years in a service or support role

Technical Skills

- PLC and SCADA basics

- Client-server architecture
- Anti-virus and patch management basics

- Good communication (written and verbal)

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
