Key Responsibilities

A. Teaching and Academic Delivery

- Conduct theory and practical classes in interior design.
- Teach space planning, circulation, zoning, and functional layouts.
- Explain colour theory, design principles, aesthetics, and design history.
- Teach furniture design, materials, finishes, lighting, and basic building services.
- Provide training in floor plans, elevations, sections, and working drawings.
- Explain residential, commercial, hospitality, retail, and exhibition space design.
- Develop lesson plans, presentations, assignments, and course materials.

B. Software and Practical Training

- Train students in AutoCAD and relevant 3D visualization software.
- Provide exposure to SketchUp, 3ds Max, V-Ray, Revit, or equivalent tools, as applicable.
- Guide students in preparing 2D drawings, 3D models, renders, and design presentations.
- Conduct material studies, model-making exercises, and practical demonstrations.
- Guide students in preparing interior design concepts and complete project documentation.

C. Design Projects and Portfolio Development

- Assign practical projects covering residential, office, retail, and hospitality interiors.
- Guide students through client briefs, concept development, space planning, material selection, and presentation.
- Train students in preparing mood boards, material boards, furniture layouts, and cost estimates.
- Supervise final projects and professional portfolio preparation.
- Encourage creative thinking, problem-solving, and sustainable design practices.

D. Student Assessment and Mentoring

- Conduct examinations, assignments,



jury presentations, and practical assessments.
- Evaluate students' drawings, concepts, technical accuracy, software skills, and project execution.
- Provide individual feedback and academic mentoring.
- Maintain student attendance, assessment records, and project documentation.

E. Industry Exposure and Placement Support

- Coordinate site visits, design workshops, guest lectures, and industry interactions.
- Introduce students to professional workflows, client communication, vendor coordination, and project execution.
- Support internships, portfolio reviews, resume preparation, and placement activities.
- Keep teaching materials updated with current interior design practices and technologies.

F. Administrative Responsibilities

- Prepare lesson plans and academic progress reports.
- Maintain design studio equipment, software resources, and teaching materials.
- Participate in faculty meetings, admission counselling, exhibitions, and institute activities.
- Perform other academic responsibilities assigned by the management.

3. Educational Qualification

Bachelor's degree or diploma in Interior Design, Interior Architecture, or a related discipline.

A master's degree in Interior Design or a related field will be an advantage.

4. Experience

Preferred: 2–5 years of teaching or relevant interior design industry experience.

Candidates with strong professional portfolios, software proficiency, and practical project experience may also be considered.

5. Required Skills

- Solid knowledge of interior design principles and space planning.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD and at least one 3D visualization tool.
- Knowledge of materials, finishes, furniture, lighting, and working drawings.
- Ability to guide practical projects and explain technical concepts.
- Strong communication, presentation, and classroom management skills.
- Creative thinking, problem-solving, and student mentoring abilities.

Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
