This role is with a well-established MEP/EPC contracting organisation headquartered in Gurgaon, delivering mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, fire-protection and building-automation systems across commercial, industrial, healthcare, data-centre and infrastructure projects. The search is being managed by Cusec Consulting, a management and talent-advisory firm partnering with leading real-estate, infrastructure and MEP/EPC organisations.

We are seeking an HVAC Draftsman to prepare detailed HVAC shop drawings, coordinated layouts, fabrication drawings and as-built drawings from approved design documents, in close coordination with HVAC Design Engineers, BIM Coordinators and site teams.

Role overview

Reporting to the HVAC Design Engineer / BIM Coordinator, the HVAC Draftsman prepares HVAC shop drawings from approved IFC and design drawings — AHU/FCU/chiller/cooling-tower layouts, chilled/condenser/refrigerant piping, supply/return/fresh-air/exhaust ducting, smoke-extraction and pressurisation systems — together with duct routing, sections, elevations, schematics, riser and isometric drawings, support details, fabrication drawings and builder’s-work / sleeve details, with disciplined revision and document control.

Key responsibilities

1. Shop drawings. Prepare HVAC shop drawings from approved IFC and design drawings.

2. Layouts. Develop layouts for AHUs, FCUs, chillers, heat pumps, cooling towers, chilled/condenser/refrigerant (VRF/VRV) piping, supply/return/fresh-air/exhaust ducting, smoke-extraction and staircase/lift-pressurisation systems.

3. Details & schematics. Prepare duct routing, piping layouts, sections, elevations and installation details; develop HVAC schematics, riser diagrams,



isometrics and duct/pipe support details.

4. Coordination. Coordinate HVAC drawings with Electrical, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, ELV, Civil, Structural and Architectural disciplines; prepare builder’s-work, sleeve and opening details.

5. Fabrication. Prepare fabrication drawings for ducts and piping.

6. Document control. Update drawings based on consultant/client comments and maintain drawing revisions and document control; assist with quantity take-offs.

Required qualifications and skills

- Diploma/ITI in Mechanical Engineering, Draftsmanship or a related discipline.
- 2–6 years’ experience preparing HVAC shop drawings for MEP projects.
- AutoCAD certification is mandatory; Revit MEP certification is preferred.
- Ability to read IFC / design drawings and develop coordinated shop drawings.
- Duct and pipe routing, sections, elevations, schematics and isometrics.
- Discipline coordination and drawing revision / document control.

Preferred (good to have)

- Experience across commercial, healthcare, data-centre or semiconductor projects.
- BIM coordination and clash-detection exposure.
- Fabrication-drawing experience for ducting and piping.
