Role Description The Senior Accountant role is a full time, on-site position based in Sangrur. The individual in this role will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including general ledger maintenance, accounts payable and receivable, bank reconciliations, and closing monthly and yearly books. Responsibilities include preparing financial statements, analyzing variances, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards and local tax regulations. The Senior Accountant will oversee invoicing, cost allocation, inventory-related accounting, and support internal and external audits. This role also involves collaborating with operations and management to provide financial insights,



improve controls, and support budgeting and forecasting activities. Qualifications
• Strong proficiency in core accounting functions, including general ledger management, accounts payable/receivable, bank reconciliation, and financial statement preparation.
• Knowledge of cost accounting, inventory accounting, and financial analysis, preferably within manufacturing, industrial, or logistics environments.
• Experience with accounting software/ERP systems, advanced MS Excel skills, and the ability to work with data for reporting and decision support.
• Understanding of local tax laws, GST, TDS, statutory compliance, and audit processes, with the ability to maintain accurate and compliant financial records.
• Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, time management, and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple priorities.
• Clear written and verbal communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field; professional certifications such as CA/CPA/CMA or equivalent are an advantage.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead accounting role, ideally in industrial manufacturing or steel/packaging sectors, is preferred.
