• Cut long-form investigative videos, documentaries, interviews, and explainers for YouTube
• Turn research and field reporting into short-form content that stops the scroll — Reels, Shorts, X
• Edit political and election campaign content on tight, real-world deadlines
• Pull and integrate archival footage, maps, data visuals, news clips, B-roll
• Handle subtitles, basic motion graphics, and sound design
• Work directly with FIKAR's researchers, anchors, and designers — this isn't editing in a vacuum, it's shaping the story with the team building it Non-Negotiables
• Premiere Pro — strong, fluent, no learning-on-the-job
• Fluent Punjabi — reading,



writing, speaking. This is a Punjabi-first newsroom.
• You know Punjab politics. Not passively — you'd know why a story matters before we tell you
• You can hold attention in the first 30 seconds, every time
• You're self-driven — we're small and fast, not a place that hands you a shot list Good to Have
