About the Role
We are looking for a hands-on Mechanical R&D; Engineer responsible for ideation, designing, developing, prototyping, testing, and improving mechanical systems and products. The candidate should be capable of taking a product from concept and design through fabrication, assembly, testing, debugging, and finalization. The ideal candidate should have solid practical knowledge of machine design, mechanisms, 3D CAD, manufacturing processes, materials, tolerancing, and mechanical troubleshooting, along with the ability to work closely with Electronics and Software R&D; teams. ?

Key Responsibilities
* Design and develop mechanical systems, assemblies, machines, fixtures, enclosures, and mechanisms for new products.
* Convert concepts and requirements into 3D CAD models, assemblies, detailed manufacturing drawings, and BOMs.
* Design mechanisms involving motors, gears, shafts, bearings, belts, chains, lead screws, linear guides, pneumatic components, springs, and linkages.
* Perform basic strength, load, torque, motion, and thermal calculations and select appropriate components.
* Design mechanical parts considering manufacturability, assembly, serviceability, cost, and reliability.
* Work with fabrication and manufacturing processes such as CNC machining, laser cutting, sheet-metal fabrication, turning, milling, drilling, boring, tapping,



welding, bending, and 3D printing.
* Develop prototypes, conduct trials, identify design problems, and make necessary design improvements.
* Prepare and maintain engineering drawings, GD&T;/tolerances, BOMs, assembly drawings, and other design documentation.
* Select appropriate materials, fasteners, bearings, seals, sensors, actuators, and standard mechanical components.
* Participate in machine/product assembly, commissioning, testing, and troubleshooting.
* Work closely with Electronics R&D; and Software teams for mechanical-electrical integration.
* Identify root causes of mechanical failures and implement effective design corrections. ? Required Technical Skills
* Strong understanding of machine design and mechanical engineering fundamentals.
* Good knowledge of engineering materials, fasteners, bearings, shafts, couplings, gears, pulleys, belts, chains, springs, seals, and linear motion components.
* Proficiency in 3D CAD software such as SolidWorks, Solid Edge, Fusion 360, Creo, AutoCAD, or equivalent.
* Ability to create accurate 3D models, assemblies, 2D manufacturing drawings, sections, dimensions, tolerances, and BOMs.
* Good understanding of GD&T;, fits, clearances, tolerances, and drawing interpretation.
* Understanding of DFM/DFA (Design for Manufacturing/Assembly).
* Practical knowledge of CNC machining, sheet metal, welding/fabrication, laser cutting, and 3D printing.
* Ability to select components based on load, speed, torque, dimensions, operating environment, and application requirements.
* Basic understanding of motors, actuators, sensors, pneumatics, and electro-mechanical systems.




* Good hands-on skills in measurement, assembly, fitting, testing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
* Ability to use basic measuring instruments such as Vernier calliper, micrometer, height gauge, measuring tape, etc.
* Strong Original thinking, problem-solving, analytical, prototyping, and debugging skills. ?Qualification & Experience Qualification: Diploma / B.
E. / B.
Tech. in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering or a related field.

Experience:
1–5 years of relevant experience in Mechanical R&D;, Machine Design, Product Development, Automation, Industrial Equipment, or similar fields. Ideal Candidate: A practical, hands-on engineer who can independently work through the complete product development cycle:
• Concept → Mechanical Design → CAD → Drawing & BOM → Fabrication → Assembly → Testing → Debugging → Design Improvement → Final Product

₹30,000
- ₹50,000 per month (including PF, PT and allowances) depending on candidate's skills and experience
