Role Description

The Punjabi Teacher will conduct online classes and tutoring sessions to help learners develop speaking, listening, reading, and writing skills in Punjabi. Responsibilities include planning and delivering structured lessons, using immersive and visual teaching methods aligned with the platform's approach, and adapting teaching strategies to different age groups and proficiency levels. The teacher will provide regular feedback, assess learner progress, and support learners with assignments, practice exercises, and conversational practice.



The role also involves creating or curating engaging learning materials and collaborating with the team to improve course content and learner experience. This is a part-time, remote role, offering flexible scheduling within agreed working hours.

Qualifications

- Strong command of Punjabi (native or near-native proficiency) and ability to teach pronunciation, vocabulary, and grammar clearly.
- Experience in teaching, tutoring, or language instruction, preferably in online or virtual classroom environments.
- Ability to design engaging lessons using visual aids, real-life scenarios, and immersion-based techniques.
- Comfort with digital tools and platforms for video conferencing, online assessments, and content sharing.
- Excellent communication skills in English or another common bridge language to support non-Punjabi speakers.
- Patience, cultural sensitivity, and the ability to work effectively with learners of different ages and backgrounds.
- Reliable internet connection, suitable device for online teaching, and a quiet, professional teaching setting.
- Relevant academic background in languages, education, or a related field is preferred but not mandatory; prior demonstrable teaching experience is highly valued.
