Role Description This is a full-time, in office role based in Chennai, focused on fruits and vegetables procurement. The role involves identifying and evaluating suppliers, negotiating contracts and pricing, and issuing purchase orders to meet daily and long-term sourcing needs. The team member will monitor market trends, product availability, and price movements to optimize procurement decisions. Daily tasks include coordinating deliveries, maintaining accurate procurement records, ensuring compliance with quality and safety standards, and collaborating with warehouse, quality, and finance teams. The role also requires regular communication with suppliers to manage performance, resolve issues, and ensure consistent supply.




Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Procurement skills, including experience in sourcing fruits and vegetables or other perishable goods.
- Candidates should possess skills in Purchase Orders management, such as creating, tracking, and reconciling orders in procurement systems.
- Candidates should possess Supplier Evaluation capabilities, including assessing supplier reliability, quality, and compliance with standards.
- Candidates should possess Contract Negotiation skills, including negotiating pricing, terms, and service levels with suppliers.
- Candidates should possess Analytical Skills to interpret market data, forecast demand, and support cost-effective purchasing decisions.
- Relevant experience in food or FMCG supply chain, inventory management, or agricultural procurement is beneficial.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate across cross-functional teams.
- Diploma or bachelor's degree in supply chain, commerce, agriculture, business, or a related field is preferred.
