SAP MM Functional Consultant (SAP Integration)

Location: Remote – India

Duration: 9 Months

We are looking for an experienced SAP MM Functional Consultant to support procurement, materials management, and supply chain processes for a global organization. The ideal candidate will have robust hands-on SAP MM configuration experience, at least two full-cycle SAP MM implementations, and experience working with cross-functional SAP teams.

Experience with SAP S/4HANA and Kinaxis RapidResponse will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. SAP MM Solution Design & Implementation

- Gather, analyze, and document business requirements for procurement and materials management.
- Design, configure, test, and deploy SAP MM solutions aligned with business requirements.
- Conduct business process workshops, fit-gap analysis, and solution design discussions.
- Prepare functional specifications and collaborate with technical teams on development activities.
- Support the complete project lifecycle, including requirements gathering, design, configuration, testing, deployment, and post-go-live support.

2. SAP MM Functional Expertise

Work across the following SAP MM process areas:

- Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders.
- Source Determination and Vendor Management.
- Inventory Management, Goods Receipt (GR), and Goods Issue (GI).
- Stock Transfers and Physical Inventory.
- Material Master Data Management.
- Material Valuation and Automatic Account Determination.
- Service Procurement.
- Release Strategies, Purchasing Approvals, and Batch Management.

3. SAP Integration & Supply Chain Collaboration

- Collaborate with SAP functional teams across SAP SD, SAP PP, SAP WM/EWM, SAP QM, and SAP FI/CO.




- Support integrations between SAP and supply chain planning platforms such as Kinaxis RapidResponse.
- Work with business stakeholders to identify process improvement opportunities and future-state capabilities.
- Ensure data consistency and process alignment across integrated systems.

4. Testing, Deployment & Production Support

- Develop and execute unit, integration, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
- Support defect analysis, troubleshooting, and issue resolution.
- Assist with deployment planning, cutover activities, go-live, and hypercare support.
- Provide post-production support and help resolve SAP MM functional issues.
- Prepare training materials and support end-user training and adoption.

5. Continuous Improvement

- Identify opportunities to improve procurement, inventory management, and supply chain processes.
- Recommend SAP best practices and industry-standard solutions.
- Participate in supply chain transformation, ERP optimization, and process improvement initiatives.

Required Qualifications & Experience

- Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Computer Science, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5 years of SAP MM functional consulting experience.
- Experience in at least 2 full-cycle SAP MM implementation projects.
- Strong hands-on SAP MM configuration experience.




- Proven experience supporting global procurement and supply chain business processes.
- Experience gathering business requirements and translating them into functional solutions.
- Experience supporting testing, deployment, go-live, and post-production activities.

- SAP Materials Management (SAP MM).
- Procurement and Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes.
- Inventory Management and Purchasing Configuration.
- Material Master and Vendor/Supplier Master Data.
- Material Valuation and Automatic Account Determination.
- Release Procedures and Purchasing Approvals.
- Batch Management.
- Supply Chain and Procurement Operations.

Preferred Skills

- Experience with SAP S/4HANA implementations or migrations.
- Integration experience with SAP PP, SAP EWM/WM, SAP SD, SAP FI/CO, and SAP QM.
- Experience in global manufacturing or Consumer Packaged Goods (CPG) environments.
- Familiarity with Agile project methodologies.
- Experience working with offshore and geographically distributed teams.

- Preferred: Kinaxis RapidResponse Experience

- Experience supporting or participating in Kinaxis RapidResponse implementation projects.
- Understanding of Supply Planning, Demand Planning, and Inventory Planning processes within Kinaxis.
- Knowledge of SAP-to-Kinaxis integration, data flows, and cross-system data consistency.
