Role Description The Production Manager will oversee day-to-day manufacturing operations at the Howrah facility, ensuring that production targets are met safely, efficiently, and in line with quality standards. This is a full-time, on-site role responsible for planning and scheduling production, managing shop-floor teams, and coordinating with procurement, maintenance, and quality control to maintain smooth workflows. The role involves monitoring machine performance, optimizing resource utilization, and implementing continuous improvement initiatives in line with company objectives. The Production Manager will track key performance metrics, resolve operational issues, and ensure adherence to safety, regulatory, and customer requirements.



The role also includes training and guiding production staff, supporting audits, and contributing to strategic decisions on capacity and process enhancements. Qualifications
• Robust production management skills, including planning, scheduling, and resource allocation in a manufacturing environment.
• Experience in packaging or corrugation industry operations, with understanding of machinery, materials, and workflow optimization.
• Knowledge of quality management practices, including process control, defect reduction, and compliance with industry standards.
• Proficiency in leadership and people management, including team supervision, performance monitoring, and conflict resolution.
• Ability to analyze production data, use basic ERP or manufacturing software, and implement cost
- and time-saving improvements.
• Sound awareness of workplace safety norms and regulatory requirements within an industrial setting.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Mechanical, Production, Industrial Engineering, or a related field; relevant experience may be considered in lieu of formal education.
• Prior experience as a Production Manager or in a similar supervisory role, preferably in packaging or related manufacturing sectors.
• Strong communication and coordination skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and external stakeholders.
