ABOUT US
Dhera Singh Jewellers is a trusted jewellery business in Patiala. We are looking for a reliable, detail-oriented accountant to manage our day-to-day accounts and keep our financial records accurate and compliant.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
◆ Maintain daily books of accounts, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, and journal entries, in Tally. ◆ Record and reconcile gold, silver, and diamond/stone stock (weight-wise and value-wise) with physical stock. ◆ Manage old gold/silver exchange entries, scheme or advance bookings, and customer and supplier ledgers. ◆ Maintain karigar (artisan) and job-work accounts, including metal issued and received, wastage, and making charges. ◆ Prepare GST invoices and handle GST computation, return filing support (GSTR-1, GSTR-3B), and reconciliation with books. ◆ Handle TDS/TCS calculations and cash transaction compliance, and coordinate with the CA for returns and audits. ◆ Perform bank reconciliation and daily cash book and cash-in-hand checks. ◆ Prepare monthly MIS reports, outstanding receivable/payable statements, and profit and loss summaries for management. ◆ Keep records ready for statutory audits, tax assessments, and inspections.
◆ Coordinate with the CA/auditor and provide data and documents on time. REQUIREMENTS ◆

B.
Com / M.
Com or equivalent (CA Inter or commerce graduate preferred). ◆
Experience:
2–5 years in accounting; prior experience in a jewellery or retail business is a strong advantage. ◆
Skills:
– Proficiency in Tally (Prime/ERP 9) and MS Excel – Sound knowledge of GST, TDS, and basic taxation – Understanding of jewellery accounting (metal weight, purity, making charges) preferred – Positive accuracy, honesty, and attention to detail – Ability to maintain confidentiality of financial information – Basic communication skills in Punjabi, Hindi, and English
