Job Description: Java Developer EDI & B2B Integration Location - Remote Role Overview

- We are seeking an experienced Java Developer with strong expertise in EDI (Electronic Data Interchange), legacy application support, and enterprise B2B integration platforms.
- The role involves maintaining, troubleshooting, enhancing, and supporting legacy Java applications that integrate with EDI processing engines, middleware, messaging platforms, and managed file transfer solutions.
- The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with Java-based applications running on JBoss, along with exposure to IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, Axway B2B, IBM MQ, and IBM Managed File Transfer (MFT).

Key Responsibilities

- Maintain, support, troubleshoot, and enhance existing legacy applications developed in Java.
- Analyze application code, identify root causes of production issues, and implement defect fixes and technical enhancements.
- Support Java application deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting in the JBoss application server environment.
- Support EDI processing, including transaction handling, document exchange, partner connectivity, and integration workflows.
- Work with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI) and Axway B2B platforms to support EDI and B2B integration processes.
- Monitor and troubleshoot message flows and application integrations using IBM MQ.
- Support secure file transfers, automated file exchange,



and transfer-related issue resolution using IBM MFT.
- Investigate failed transactions, message queues, file transfers, and interface errors across integrated systems.
- Collaborate with business analysts, QA teams, infrastructure teams, and external trading partners to resolve integration issues.
- Participate in production support, incident management, root-cause analysis, and problem resolution.
- Develop and maintain technical documentation, support procedures, and application integration specifications.
- Assist with testing, release management, deployments, and ongoing maintenance of enterprise integration solutions.

Required Technical Skills

- Solid programming and troubleshooting skills in Java.
- Experience supporting and maintaining legacy Java applications.
- Hands-on experience with JBoss application server.
- Knowledge of EDI standards, transaction sets, and B2B integration concepts.
- Experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator (SI).
- Experience with Axway B2B integration platforms.
- Working knowledge of IBM MQ, including queues, message flows, and connectivity troubleshooting.
- Experience with IBM Managed File Transfer (MFT).
- Strong debugging, problem-solving, and production support skills.
- Understanding of enterprise application integration and distributed systems.
