Sberbank is currently looking for Cashier. This role is a Delhi-based Forex Cashier position at Sberbank to manage cash/vault operations, execute foreign currency trades, and ensure strict RBI/FEMA compliance. Responsibilities
• Handle day-to-day cashier and foreign currency exchange transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Manage cash receipts, payments, cash counting, balancing and daily cash reconciliation.
• Handle foreign currencies, including USD, EUR, AED and other major currencies, as applicable.
• Execute foreign currency buying and selling transactions in accordance with approved rates and internal procedures.
• Verify customer details, transaction information and supporting documentation before processing transactions.
• Maintain accurate records of all cash and foreign currency transactions.
• Ensure proper cash and vault management, including physical cash handling, denomination control and end-of-day balancing.
• Prepare and maintain Forex documentation, transaction records and operational reports.
• Follow applicable KYC/AML, RBI/FEMA and internal compliance requirements related to foreign exchange transactions.
• Identify and escalate discrepancies, suspicious transactions, cash shortages/excesses and operational issues to the appropriate authority.
• Coordinate with internal teams, branches and customers to ensure smooth and timely transaction processing.
• Support internal and external audits by maintaining complete and accurate transaction documentation.
• Ensure adherence to Sberbank India’s operational, risk, compliance and control standards. Towards Service
• Deliver a professional, courteous and customer-focused service at every interaction.
• Process cash and foreign exchange transactions with speed, accuracy and confidentiality.
• Clearly communicate transaction requirements,



applicable documentation and procedures to customers.
• Resolve routine customer queries and transaction-related issues promptly, escalating complex matters when required.
• Maintain a high standard of service while ensuring strict compliance with banking and Forex regulations.
• Build positive relationships with customers and internal stakeholders.
• Ensure a smooth and efficient customer experience throughout the Forex transaction process. Requirements
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Cashier, preferably in Banking, NBFC, Money Exchange, Forex or Financial Services.
• Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience handling foreign currencies, preferably including USD, EUR and AED.
• Practical experience in cash handling, cash balancing, reconciliation and transaction processing.
• Basic understanding of Accounting and Finance principles.
• Knowledge of Forex documentation and regulatory requirements will be an added advantage.
• Experience with KYC/AML, RBI/FEMA or other applicable foreign exchange regulations will be preferred.
• Strong numerical and reconciliation skills with high attention to detail.
• Good communication and customer-service skills.
• Ability to maintain confidentiality and work effectively in a controlled banking environment.
• Proficiency in MS Office and basic banking/financial systems.
• Prior experience in Banking, NBFC, Money Exchange or Foreign Exchange is preferred.
