- Understand customer requirements based on available inputs, specifications, and project data.
- Create and modify 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD software.
- Participate in design reviews with senior engineers and Head of Department (R&D; Design).
- Generate and maintain part numbers and assembly numbers in SAP.
- Release approved drawings to concerned departments for manufacturing and procurement activities.
- Prepare and maintain Bill of Materials (BOM) and product structure (Tree Chart).
- Support the preparation and maintenance of APQP, PPAP, and related product development documentation.
- Verify material and process availability in the plant as per BOM requirements.
- Assist in prototype development and manufacturing activities.
- Coordinate with Prototype Shop, Tool Room, Production,
and Purchase departments for prototype development.
- Follow up for procurement and availability of materials required for prototype builds.
- Release drawings for fixture and tooling development to Tool Room and PED departments.
- Track the status of fixture and tool manufacturing activities.
- Participate in prototype assembly, fitment trials, and functional validation.
- Identify design and manufacturing issues during trials and implement necessary design corrections.
- Support continuous improvement of product design and manufacturing processes based on trial feedback.
- Maintain engineering records, drawings, and project documentation.
