Role Description This is a full time, on-site Sales Manager (ZSM-Level) role based in the Kolkata metropolitan area, with a strong preference for candidates who have significant experience in the North East region.

The Sales

Manager will oversee cardio-diabetic product sales, lead and coach regional sales teams, and ensure achievement of sales targets and market share objectives.

Responsibilities include planning and executing territory-wise sales strategies, managing key accounts and relationships with healthcare professionals, and monitoring performance through regular reviews and field visits. The role also involves analyzing market trends and competitor activities, guiding team members on effective promotional tactics, ensuring compliance with company policies and regulatory guidelines, and collaborating with marketing and senior leadership to drive sustainable growth.



The compensation for this role is up to ₹22 LPA, based on experience and performance.

Qualifications

- Proven experience in pharmaceutical sales management at ZSM or equivalent level, preferably in cardio-diabetic therapy areas.
- Strong exposure to and understanding of the North East market, with a track record of building and managing high-performing regional teams.
- Ability to develop and implement territory and region-wise sales plans, including forecasting, budgeting, and performance monitoring.
- Excellent relationship-building skills with healthcare professionals, distributors, and internal stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills for interpreting sales data, market trends, and competitor insights to inform strategy.
- Effective leadership, coaching, and people-management capabilities, including mentoring and performance management.
- Clear and confident communication skills, both verbal and written, with strong negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Good understanding of cardio-diabetic products and related therapeutic segments; prior experience in these segments is highly beneficial.
- Comfort with frequent field travel within the region, including North East territories, as required by business needs.
- Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Life Sciences, Business, or a related field; an MBA or equivalent management qualification is an advantage.
- Demonstrated ability to work ethically, comply with regulatory and company guidelines, and uphold high professional standards.
