Role Description The Restaurant Steward is a full-time, on-site role based in Port Blair, responsible for supporting daily restaurant operations and maintaining high standards of cleanliness and service. Typical tasks include cleaning and arranging tableware, glassware, and utensils, ensuring dining and service areas are hygienic and well-organized, and assisting servers and kitchen staff with the smooth flow of food and beverages. The role involves replenishing supplies, handling basic food service duties such as setting up buffets or service stations,



and following all safety and sanitation procedures.

The Restaurant

Steward collaborates closely with the restaurant team to deliver a welcoming atmosphere and an efficient dining experience for guests.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong Customer Service skills to interact courteously with guests and support a positive dining experience.
- Candidates should possess clear and skilled Communication skills for coordinating with servers, kitchen staff, and supervisors.
- Candidates should possess basic Food & Beverage knowledge to handle tableware, service standards, and menu items appropriately.
- Candidates should possess Food Service skills, including table setting, clearing, and maintaining high hygiene standards in dining areas.
- Candidates should possess Training readiness, with the ability to learn standard operating procedures and adapt to hotel service protocols.
- Additional beneficial qualifications include prior experience in hotels or restaurants, understanding of safety and sanitation guidelines, ability to stand and move for extended periods, and a high school diploma or equivalent.
