Role Description This is a full-time, remote role for a Game Developer.

The Game

Developer will design, prototype, and implement game features, mechanics, and systems aligned with Outcome School’s educational goals.

Responsibilities include writing clean, efficient code, iterating on gameplay based on feedback, and collaborating with designers, educators, and other developers to create engaging learning experiences. The role involves optimizing performance, debugging, and maintaining existing projects,



as well as documenting technical workflows and contributing to best practices.

The Game

Developer may also support learners by reviewing projects, providing technical guidance, and helping translate curriculum requirements into interactive games.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess robust Programming skills, including proficiency in Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
- Candidates should possess Game Programming and Gameplay Programming skills for implementing core mechanics and interactive systems.
- Candidates should possess Game Design skills to create engaging, user-centered experiences that support learning outcomes.
- Experience with one or more modern game engines (e.g., Unity, Unreal, Godot) and related toolchains.
- Understanding of version control systems (e.g., Git) and collaborative development workflows.
- Ability to write clear technical documentation and communicate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Experience building educational, serious, or training-focused games is a plus.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Game Development, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
