Role Description The Assistant Professor in Biochemistry will be responsible for delivering undergraduate and postgraduate lectures, conducting laboratory sessions, and guiding students in understanding core and advanced biochemistry concepts. Daily tasks include designing and updating course materials, preparing assessments, evaluating student performance, and providing academic mentoring and support. The role also involves engaging in research activities, publishing scholarly work, participating in departmental meetings, and contributing to curriculum development and academic quality initiatives.

Professor will collaborate with colleagues on interdisciplinary projects and support university events, seminars, and workshops. This is a full time, on-site role based at Mandsaur University in Mandsaur.

Qualifications

- Advanced academic background in Biochemistry or a closely related discipline (preferably M.Sc./Ph.D.), with strong knowledge of molecular biology, enzymology, metabolism, and related areas.
- Experience in teaching or academic instruction, including lesson planning, classroom management, and effective communication with students from diverse backgrounds.
- Proficiency in conducting and supervising laboratory work, including handling instruments, ensuring safety protocols, and guiding students in experimental design and data analysis.
- Research skills, such as literature review, experimental planning, data interpretation, and preparation of manuscripts or conference presentations.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear course materials, reports, and academic documentation.
- Ability to collaborate within academic teams, participate in departmental activities, and contribute to curriculum enhancement and accreditation processes.
- Commitment to student mentoring, ethical academic practices, and continuous professional development in biochemistry and related fields.
- Familiarity with educational technology and learning management systems for delivering content, tracking progress, and supporting student engagement.
