NEXTGEN is actively engaged at AMNS Steel Plant, Hazira, deploying welders, fitters, riggers, supervisors, foremen, and helpers across HSM1 and HSM2 units.

The company also supports civil measurement and project work at UPRVUNL Panki Thermal Power Plant and has delivered shutdown projects at JSW Bellary Steel Plant under strict deadlines. Core expertise includes piping and structural erection, fabrication support, industrial manpower supply, shutdown work execution, site supervision, and billing and measurement support.

Role Description The 6G Welder ARC + Argon role is a temporary, on-site position located in Visakhapatnam. The role involves performing high-quality 6G position welding using arc and argon processes on pipes and structural components, following drawings, welding procedures, and safety guidelines. Day-to-day tasks include preparing joints, selecting appropriate electrodes and filler materials, setting up and maintaining welding equipment, and executing welds that meet specified quality standards.





The welder will carry out visual checks, basic non-destructive test preparations, and assist in rectifying welding defects as required. The role also includes coordinating with supervisors and other trades, maintaining a safe and orderly work area, and adhering to company and client safety protocols at all times.

Qualifications

- Candidates should possess strong welding skills, including Welding and Arc Welding, with demonstrated experience in 6G position welding.
- Candidates should possess process-specific welding capabilities, including TIG Welding and MIG Welding, suitable for industrial piping and structural applications.
- Candidates should possess knowledge of Materials, including base metals, filler metals, and welding consumables used in carbon steel and stainless steel fabrication.
- Relevant technical training or certification in welding (ITI, trade certificate, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Experience in heavy industry, steel plants, or large construction projects is beneficial.
- Ability to read and interpret welding symbols, isometric drawings, and basic fabrication sketches.
- Strong awareness of safety practices, use of PPE, and compliance with site safety regulations.
- Physical fitness suitable for working in industrial environments and at heights, and willingness to work shifts and extended hours when required.
