Role Description The Operations Supervisor is a full-time, on-site role based in the Greater Visakhapatnam Area. The role involves overseeing day-to-day port and warehouse operations, including cargo handling, storage, and dispatch, while ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and compliance standards. The Operations Supervisor coordinates with internal teams, port authorities, transport providers,



and clients to plan and monitor workflows, resolve operational issues, and maintain accurate documentation and reporting. Responsibilities include supervising staff shifts, allocating resources, optimizing turnaround times, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency and customer satisfaction. The role also requires regular monitoring of performance metrics, timely escalation of risks, and active participation in operational reviews.

Qualifications

- Strong supervisory skills with proven ability to lead, mentor, and coordinate operational teams.
- Hands-on experience in operations and operations management, preferably in shipping, logistics, or warehousing.
- Well-developed analytical skills for monitoring performance, solving problems, and improving processes.
- Clear and effective communication skills for working with cross-functional teams, port authorities, and customers.
- Knowledge of port operations, cargo handling procedures, and safety regulations is highly beneficial.
- Familiarity with inventory management systems, documentation, and basic MS Office tools.
- Bachelor’s degree or diploma in logistics, supply chain, operations management, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to work on-site in the Greater Visakhapatnam Area, manage shifts, and adapt to a fast-paced operational workplace.
