Role Description This is a full-time, in office Doctoral Researcher role based at IIT Delhi in Delhi, India. The Doctoral Researcher will conduct original research under faculty supervision, including formulating research questions, designing methodologies, performing rigorous experiments, collecting and analysing data, and publishing results in peer-reviewed journals and conferences. Day-to-day responsibilities include literature review, experimental or theoretical work (as relevant to the discipline), documentation of findings, and participation in research group meetings and seminars. The role may involve assisting with teaching activities,



mentoring junior students, and contributing to proposals or reports for funded projects. The Doctoral Researcher is expected to collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, adhere to research ethics and institute guidelines, and work towards timely completion of doctoral milestones.

Qualifications

- Strong foundation in a relevant discipline with a Master’s degree or equivalent qualification from a recognised institution.
- Demonstrated research aptitude, including experience in literature review, problem formulation, data collection, analysis, and interpretation.
- Ability to use appropriate research tools, methodologies, and software relevant to the chosen area of specialisation (for example, statistical packages, programming languages, simulation tools, or qualitative analysis methods).
- Effective academic writing and communication skills for preparing research papers, theses, presentations, and technical reports.
- Strong analytical thinking, critical reasoning, and problem-solving capabilities, with attention to detail and scientific rigour.
- Capability to work independently as well as in collaborative, interdisciplinary research teams, while managing time and project deadlines.
- Commitment to research ethics, responsible conduct of research, and compliance with institutional and funding guidelines.
- Prior research publications, conference presentations, or relevant project experience are advantageous.
