Company Description Ecomine is a DPIIT-recognized deep-tech startup focused on transforming mineral exploration in India through advanced AI and geoscience. Its flagship platform, Spectropy, is a proprietary prediction engine that integrates hyperspectral satellite imagery, drill-core analysis, and multiple geophysical datasets into a unified subsurface intelligence layer. Using spectral unmixing, geophysical inversion, and deep-learning models tailored to Indian terrains, Spectropy generates high-confidence mineral prospectivity maps from surface to drill bit. Ecomine’s approach replaces fragmented, siloed exploration workflows with a data-driven, physics-informed methodology that guides geoscientists on where to drill and the geological rationale behind it. The team collaborates closely with industry partners to deliver effective, accurate, and sustainable exploration outcomes. Role Description This is a full-time remote role for a Geoscientist at Ecomine. The Geoscientist will analyze and interpret geological and geophysical data, including hyperspectral, seismic, and potential field datasets, to support mineral prospectivity mapping and exploration decisions. The role includes building and reviewing geological models, integrating structural, sedimentological, and geochemical information, and collaborating with data scientists to refine AI/ML workflows and validation processes. The Geoscientist will contribute to the design of exploration programs, prepare technical reports and presentations for internal and external stakeholders,
and provide geological insights that enhance Spectropy’s prediction capabilities. Regular collaboration with cross-functional teams, participation in technical discussions, and adherence to data quality and documentation standards are core aspects of the day-to-day work. Qualifications
• Strong foundation in Structural Geology, with the ability to interpret deformation patterns, faults, folds, and tectonic frameworks relevant to mineral systems.
• Competence in Sedimentology and basin analysis to understand depositional environments, stratigraphy, and their influence on resource distribution.
• Applied experience in Geophysics, including interpretation of seismic, magnetic, gravity, radiometric, and EM data, and familiarity with geophysical inversion concepts.
• Proficiency in Seismic Interpretation for subsurface imaging, horizon and fault mapping, and integration of seismic results into geological models.
• Knowledge of Geochemistry for mineral system analysis, alteration mapping, and geochemical data interpretation supporting prospectivity assessments.
• Experience with geological and geophysical software (e.g., GIS platforms, modeling and visualization tools) and comfort working with digital datasets.
• Ability to collaborate effectively in remote, cross-functional teams and communicate technical concepts clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Geology, Geophysics, Earth Sciences, or a closely related field; experience in mineral
