READ THIS FIRST — THE DATES THAT CANNOT MOVE
• In-person interview: 20–30 November 2026, at our Bengaluru office. It cannot be done online.
• Applications close: 15 November 2026. We interview on a rolling basis and may close early once the position is filled.
• All online rounds complete by: 19 November 2026.
• Joining date: 1 December 2026. Non-negotiable. You must be free of notice period obligations by 1 December. If you are currently serving a 60 or 90-day notice, the timing will not work and we cannot make an exception. Please do not apply — it saves us both the time. Please read this advertisement all the way to the end before you apply. It is long on purpose. It tells you exactly what the job is, what it is not, how we assess you and what we will not budge on. Applications from people who clearly have not read it are easy to spot, and we do not take them forward. WHO WE ARE Jane Aerospace is a Bengaluru-based aerospace and drone supply chain company. We source aircraft parts, drone components and industrial materials for operators, MROs and manufacturers — imported and locally procured — and we are building Supply Chain as a Service, a subscription model that takes over procurement for our clients entirely. We operate three companies: Jane Aerospace Pvt Ltd in India, Jane Tech Labs Ltd in Hong Kong, and Jane Aero Tech Supply Chain FZCO in the UAE. You would work across all three. We are bootstrapped. No outside funding, and none being sought. We are small, we move quickly, and people here own real things early. THE ROLE This job covers three crafts: product interface design, brand and graphic design, and video editing. You would be the only designer in the company, serving both the engineering side and marketing. ONE THING WE WANT TO BE HONEST ABOUT. Nobody at one to three years is world-class at all three of these, and we are not pretending otherwise. We are looking for someone genuinely strong in at least one, competent in the other two, and hungry to get better at all of them. Of the three, we weight product interface design highest. Good video can be topped up with freelancers; interface judgment cannot. The second honest thing: this is a lot of work for one person, and we know it. The volume is capped in writing below rather than left open, and if the work justifies it we expect to add a second designer around March or April. We would rather tell you that now than have you discover the load in month two. WHO HOLDS YOUR QUEUE? Your time splits roughly 60% marketing work and 40% product interface work. The Marketing Specialist holds your queue, so that two teams cannot pull you in two directions at once. That protection is deliberate. This role fails when nobody owns the queue — everything becomes urgent, the interface work is always the thing that slips because it has no weekly deadline, and a year later the company has a lot of social posts and no design system. WHAT YOU WILL ACTUALLY DO Product interface — about 40% of your time
• Design the interfaces for our internal tools and customer-facing products: the hiring and assessment platform, the BD dashboards, and the SCaaS front end.
• Work directly with our engineering team to get your designs built properly rather than approximately.
• Take this work back in-house. Our outsourced AI team currently designs their own screens,

and that stops being their job when you join. Brand and graphic — the guidelines exist, the system does not
• Own and extend the Jane brand system. We have a brand guidelines document. What we do not have is the working apparatus built from it — templates, deck and document masters, social formats, and a version of it that holds up across three companies with three audiences. That is yours to build.
• Produce social and campaign creative against the marketing calendar, for three companies that each keep their own identity.
• Create recruitment and careers creative. We are hiring seven people right now and will hire more. Video — capped, and the cap is real Our content model is one substantial long-form piece per brand, cut down into everything else. That works out at about six long-form pieces a month — India weekly, Hong Kong and the UAE monthly — plus the short-form derivatives taken from them.
• Long-form edits: about 6 a month. Founder explainers, field reports, podcast and interview appearances.
• Short-form derivatives: cut from those 6. Clips and stills for Instagram and LinkedIn, across three brands.
• Everything beyond that: agreed case by case. Not an open queue. If the volume needs to rise, that is a conversation, not an assumption. We have written the cap down because an uncapped video queue is the single most reliable way to destroy a role like this. The derivatives are the part that expands without anyone noticing. WHAT THIS ROLE IS NOT
• It is not a pure product design job. If interface work is all you want to do, you will be frustrated here 60% of the time.
• It is not a video production house. You edit; we are not building a studio.
• It is not an agency brief-taking role. You make the work.
• It is not marketing strategy. The Marketing Specialist owns the calendar and the angle; you own how it looks. Requirements WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
• 1 to 3 years in design. This is not a fresher role.
• MANDATORY — a portfolio containing ALL THREE: at least one real product or app interface, a body of marketing and brand creative, and edited video you cut yourself. A portfolio that is all posters, or all app screens, does not qualify. An application without a portfolio link will not be reviewed.
• Figma to a professional standard — components and systems, not just static frames.
• Premiere Pro or DaVinci Resolve for editing, and After Effects or equivalent for basic motion.
• A real grasp of hierarchy, usability and accessibility, not just what looks positive.
• You can explain WHY you made a design decision, not just show the result. We will ask, in person, and we will keep asking.
• You can work from a written brief without being walked through it. NICE TO HAVE, NOT REQUIRED
• Having built a design system from scratch.
• Data visualization and dashboard design — our BD dashboards need it.
• Deeper motion graphics, sound design or subtitling.

• Comfort with AI-assisted design and video tooling. We use it and so should you. PLEASE DO NOT APPLY IF We mean this sincerely — it saves everyone time.
• You cannot attend an in-person interview in Bengaluru between 20 and 30 November 2026.
• You cannot join on 1 December 2026, for any reason, including notice period.
• You are not in Bengaluru and are not willing to relocate here at your own arrangement before joining.
• You are looking for a work-from-home or hybrid role. This is fully work from office.
• Your portfolio is entirely template-based work with no original system design.
• You cannot show before-and-after reasoning on a user experience decision.
• Your video reel is entirely stock footage.
• You want to specialize narrowly in one craft right now. Benefits WHAT YOU GET PAID Rs 40,000 to Rs 45,000 per month CTC (Rs 4.8–5.4 lakh per annum), depending on experience and on the strength of your portfolio. CTC means cost to company; your in-hand figure will be lower after statutory deductions, and we will show you the exact breakdown at offer stage.
• Compensation reviewed formally at six months and at twelve months, against evidence.
• A proper machine and the software you need, including AI tooling. We do not expect you to pay for your own licenses.
• PF and ESI as per statute. The real compensation here is the ownership. You would take a brand from a guidelines document to the thing three companies actually run on, and design the products as well as the marketing. Most designers wait years to own that much surface. OUR HIRING PROCESS Four rounds. We have deliberately kept the unpaid work small.
• Application — short questions and your portfolio link. The portfolio is mandatory and must show all three disciplines.
• Craft test — timed, online. A critique of an existing interface, and your written reasoning against a short design brief. Around 45 minutes.
• Video interview — recorded, online. You explain the thinking behind your own craft test answers.
• In-person with the Managing Director — at our Bengaluru office, 20–30 November. Includes a full portfolio walkthrough: bring the work and expect to be asked why, repeatedly. The portfolio walkthrough sits in the in-person round on purpose. A walkthrough is only worth anything if the person listening can ask the next question, and the next one after that. That is not something we are willing to automate. ON AI: use it. We do, and we expect you to. But you will be asked to account for your own decisions in rounds three and four, and work you cannot explain is worth nothing to us. All online rounds complete by 19 November. In-person interviews run 20–30 November. We make offers on a rolling basis — if you are strong, you will hear from us quickly.

HOW TO APPLY
One last time: if you have skipped to this section, go back and read the rest. The answers to most of what you are about to be asked are above. Apply through the link on this posting and answer the application questions in full. Attach your CV, your portfolio link, and a short covering note in your own words. We read the notes, and the ones with a real voice get read twice. Jane Aerospace Pvt Ltd
