Role Description This full time, on-site Senior Design Engineer role is based in Chennai and involves leading the design and development of engineering solutions for industrial clients. The Senior Design Engineer will translate customer requirements into detailed design specifications, create and review CAD models and drawings, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure feasibility, safety, and cost-effectiveness. Daily responsibilities include performing design calculations, validating concepts through simulations or prototypes, and supporting project execution from initial concept to final delivery.



The role also includes mentoring junior engineers, coordinating with manufacturing and suppliers, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and industry best practices.

Qualifications

- Strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design to develop robust, practical industrial solutions.
- Proficiency in Mechanical Engineering and Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for modeling, detailing, and validating components and systems.
- Working knowledge of Electrical Engineering principles to collaborate on multidisciplinary projects and integrated systems.
- Experience in industrial sectors such as Automotive, Energy, Pharma, Food, or Agricultural industries is highly beneficial.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Design Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven experience in a senior or lead engineering role, including project ownership and team coordination.
- Ability to interpret standards, perform engineering calculations, and apply industry regulations and safety requirements.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to work effectively on-site and in cross-functional teams.
