- Service Job Location: Bengaluru, Karnataka Position: Works Manager Job PurposeTo manage and supervise all EV retrofit installation, technical operations, workshop activities, vehicle inspections, quality control, and service support.

The Works

Manager will ensure that all EV retrofit installations are completed safely, efficiently, and within the committed timelines. The role also involves field visits whenever required for vehicle inspections, customer support, technical troubleshooting, and installation supervision.

Key Responsibilities 1. EV Retrofit Installation &

- Workshop Management Manage day-to-day EV retrofit installation and workshop operations. Supervise technicians and installation staff to ensure proper installation of EV retrofit kits. Ensure all installations are completed as per company SOPs, technical specifications, and safety standards. Plan installation schedules and ensure timely delivery of vehicles. Monitor workshop productivity, manpower utilisation, tools, equipment, and material availability. 2.

Technical

Operations &

- Troubleshooting Handle technical issues related to EV retrofit kits, motors, controllers, batteries, wiring, and other EV components. Coordinate with the NPD, R&D;, and technical teams to resolve product-related issues. Diagnose installation failures, vehicle breakdowns, and recurring technical complaints. Ensure proper testing, quality inspection, and road testing before vehicle delivery. Maintain technical records, installation reports, and issue-resolution reports. 3.

Field

Work &

- Customer Support Visit customer locations, dealerships, workshops, and vehicle operating locations whenever required. Support field installation, vehicle inspection, technical troubleshooting, and breakdown resolution. Coordinate with customers and the internal team to resolve installation and technical complaints. Travel to other locations for installation supervision, demonstrations,



and technical support as required. 4.

Quality

Control &

- Safety Ensure every retrofitted vehicle meets the prescribed quality and safety requirements. Verify installation quality, electrical connections, wiring, and vehicle functionality. Ensure technicians follow workshop safety procedures and use tools and equipment correctly. Maintain installation checklists, vehicle inspection reports, and quality-control records.
- Team &
- Operational Management Allocate work to technicians and monitor daily installation targets. Train technicians on installation procedures, product updates, and safety practices. Track pending vehicles, installation turnaround time (TAT), and unresolved technical issues. Coordinate with the Sales, CRM, Logistics, and Technical teams for smooth operations. Submit daily and weekly operational reports to management.

Required Qualifications &

- ExperienceDiploma or ITI in Automobile, Mechanical, Electrical, or Electronics Engineering.

Experience in automobile workshop management, EV installation, vehicle service, or technical operations. Practical knowledge of EV systems, electrical wiring, motors, controllers, batteries, and vehicle diagnostics.

Experience in team handling, technical troubleshooting, and workshop operations. Willingness to undertake field visits and travel whenever required.

Indicators (KPIs)Timely completion of EV retrofit installations. Installation quality and reduction in repeat technical issues. Vehicle delivery within committed timelines. Effective resolution of workshop and field technical complaints. Technician productivity and manpower utilisation. Compliance with safety procedures and installation SOPs. Significant Role Requirement

This is a hands-on EV operations role, not a general automobile workshop or administrative position. The candidate must have practical involvement in EV retrofit installation, technical troubleshooting, workshop supervision, and quality control. Fieldwork and travel are also part of the role whenever required.
