Must-have qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related field.

2. 5+ years of systems-setting experience.

Confirm the candidate's specific years of hands-on WebSphere administration separately.

3. Practical IBM WebSphere administration experience, including monitoring, logs, troubleshooting, maintenance, and patching.

4. Must have hands on experience of J2EE applications running on WebSphere.

5. IBM WebSphere Liberty and migration exposure.

6. Structured troubleshooting and root-cause analysis, with the ability to explain actual incidents and corrective actions.

7. Scripting/automation experience using Python, Perl or another relevant scripting language. Candidate must explain what they personally automated, repaired or maintained.

8. Clear communication,



accurate status reporting, reliability, and accountability when working directly with customer stakeholders.

Nice-to-have skills

- JBoss application server experience.

- WebSphere performance monitoring, tuning and Performance Monitoring Interface (PMI).

- WebSphere MQ or other messaging architectures.

- Java performance analysis, instrumentation and application troubleshooting.

- Java/J2EE frameworks such as Spring, Struts or MyBatis.

- Additional programming languages, Windows administration, performance testing and technical documentation.
