We are working to reimagine the baby nursery to make it smart, intuitive and delightful. We're passionate about our people, our customers, our values, and our culture!
About the Cradlewise Design Team
Cradlewise Design is a close-knit team of User Experience Designers, Visual Designers, and Video Editors from all over the world. We have offices in both the US and India. We create experiences to help every family sleep and live better, through science-driven solutions, and it's the role of the team to humanize and create every touchpoint with empathy and support.
About the Role
Cradlewise is looking to hire a Full Time Visual Designer to join our design team. The ideal candidate will have solid hands-on experience designing for both web and print, with work that spans packaging, retail, print and merch collaterals, newsletters, paid ads, and publications. Their portfolio should show a strong grasp of layout, typography, visual hierarchy, and brand consistency, along with proficiency in Figma and the Adobe Suite. They should be comfortable using AI tools in their everyday work and curious about how AI can make design workflows faster and smarter. The candidate will collaborate closely with the design and marketing teams to bring the Cradlewise brand to life across every touchpoint, on screen, in retail spaces, and in print.
Responsibilities
- Design packaging for Cradlewise products and accessories, taking concepts through to print-ready files.
- Design retail assets such as in-store displays, point-of-sale materials, shelf and signage graphics, and creatives for retail partners and marketplaces.
- Create print and merch collaterals such as inserts, brochures, event materials, and branded merchandise.
- Prepare production-ready files with correct print specs (CMYK/Pantone, bleeds,
dielines) and coordinate with printers and vendors.
- Design publications such as guides, reports, and editorial layouts for both digital and print formats.
- Design newsletters and email campaigns in collaboration with the marketing team.
- Develop static and animated creatives for paid ad campaigns (Meta Ads, Google Ads), including variations for testing.
- Build and maintain reusable Figma templates, components, and design systems to keep work consistent and scalable.
- Use AI tools for ideation, asset generation, resizing, and variations, and proactively find ways to optimise design workflows with AI.
- Uphold brand guidelines across all channels and contribute to the evolution of our visual identity.
- For designers with illustration skills, create surface pattern designs for soft goods such as sheets, swaddles, towels, and bibs.
What do we offer
- An opportunity to work in a company that is reimagining the baby nursery.
- A chance to see your work in the real world, on product packaging, retail shelves, merch, and in the homes, feeds, and inboxes of parents everywhere.
- Range across disciplines, from packaging and print to digital and paid ads.
- A platform to directly influence our visual identity, design systems, and how AI shapes our creative workflows.
- Freedom to ideate, experiment, and lead your own projects, with your ideas and initiative valued.
- A fun, inclusive, and learning-oriented culture with regular feedback reviews to accelerate your growth.
- Guidance and mentorship from a multidisciplinary, global team.
What we are looking for
- Experience 3–5+ years of relevant industry experience designing across both web and print, ideally with exposure to consumer brands (or a Bachelor's/Master's degree in Design, Visual Communication, or related fields with equivalent practical experience).
- Portfolio A portfolio that showcases packaging, retail, print and merch, newsletters, paid ads,
and publication work, demonstrating range across formats and a consistent eye for brand.
- Technical Skills
- Strong mastery of Figma, including components, auto layout, and building templates and design systems, along with proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Photoshop, and InDesign.
- Familiarity with motion tools like After Effects and illustration skills (hand-drawn or digital) are a plus.
- Designers who illustrate will get to work on surface pattern design for our soft goods, so experience with seamless repeats and colourways is a bonus.
- Print & Production Solid understanding of print production, including colour management (CMYK/Pantone), bleeds, dielines, paper and finishes, and preparing print-ready files. Experience working with printers and vendors to see work through to final output.
- AI & Workflows Hands-on experience using AI tools for ideation, image generation, editing, and asset variations. Curiosity to experiment with recent tools and a knack for spotting where AI can speed up or simplify design workflows.
- Creative & Trends Passionate and up to date with the latest trends in packaging, retail, and digital design, and an understanding of platform-specific requirements for ads and email.
- Soft Skills
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to explain design decisions clearly.
- A positive attitude, enthusiasm, and openness to constructive feedback and quick iterations.
- Ability to work independently as well as cooperatively across cross-functional teams.
- Strong organisational and time-management skills to juggle multiple projects and hit deadlines.
- Keen attention to detail, especially when preparing files for print and production.
Selection Process
1. Portfolio Review: We will carefully review the work submitted in your portfolio. (Note: Please ensure your portfolio highlights packaging, retail, print and merch, and paid ads work.))
2. Design Challenge: Shortlisted candidates will be given a small design task, followed by 3 rounds of interviews.
3. Final Offer: Selected candidates will be informed and onboarded.
