Role & responsibilities

- Provide accurate counselling to patients on vaccines, including benefits, risks, schedules, and possible side effects
- Assess patient history, allergies, and eligibility before vaccination
- Address vaccine hesitancy by explaining evidence-based information in a explicit, empathetic manner
- Administer vaccines safely following established clinical protocols and guidelines
- Ensure proper storage and handling of vaccines, maintaining cold chain standards
- Monitor patients for immediate adverse reactions and respond appropriately (AEFI management)
- Educate patients on post-vaccination care and follow-up requirements
- Maintain accurate records of vaccinations, consent forms, and patient data
- Adhere to infection control practices and safety protocols at all times
- Coordinate with doctors, public health teams, and immunization programs
- Participate in community outreach or awareness programs when required
- Stay updated with latest immunization guidelines and healthcare regulations

Preferred Education BSc Nursing / Diploma in Nursing
