About the Role
INCERTECH Private Limited is looking for a practical and detail-oriented science graduate to support the research, development, testing and manufacturing of ultrasonic testing (UT)
probes used in non-destructive testing (NDT).
The candidate will work on developing and manufacturing ultrasonic probes, including normal-beam probes, dual-element probes and other specialised UT transducers. The role involves hands-on assembly, precision soldering, material handling, electrical testing,
acoustic performance evaluation and product improvement.
Training will be provided in UT probe technology, manufacturing procedures and quality control.
Key Responsibilities
1. R&D; and Product Development
- Assist in the development of ultrasonic testing probes for industrial NDT applications.
- Support development of dual-element transmitter–receiver probes.
- Study piezoelectric crystals, backing materials, matching layers, damping materials
2. UT Probe Manufacturing
- Perform precision soldering of piezoelectric crystals, electrodes, coaxial cables and
electrical connections.
- Assist in crystal preparation, cutting, cleaning and assembly.
- Handle adhesives, backing compounds, matching materials and encapsulation
materials according to approved procedures.
- Assemble probe housings, connectors, cables and internal components.
- Maintain cleanliness and dimensional accuracy during manufacturing.
- Follow standard operating procedures and ESD precautions wherever required.
3. Testing and Quality Control
- Test manufactured probes using ultrasonic flaw detectors and suitable reference blocks.
- Measure and record probe frequency, sensitivity, pulse characteristics and other specified parameters.
- Perform repeatability checks and compare results against approved product specifications.
- Identify defective products and support corrective actions.
- Maintain inspection reports, calibration records, batch records and test data.
4. Documentation and Production Support
- Prepare manufacturing instructions, test reports and inspection checklists.
- Maintain raw material, component and finished-product records.
- Track prototype development and manufacturing progress.
- Coordinate with the R&D;, stores and production teams.
- Support the transition of successful prototypes into repeatable production
Required Skills
- Basic understanding of physics, electricity and electronic components.
- Positive hand skills for precision assembly and soldering.
- Ability to use measuring instruments such as a multimeter and basic laboratory equipment.
- Willingness to learn ultrasonic testing and piezoelectric transducer technology.
- Good observation, problem-solving and documentation skills.
- Ability to follow detailed procedures and maintain consistent product quality.
- Basic computer skills, including Excel and report preparation.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
