Position: Audit Engineer – Civil Projects

Experience: 8 to 15 Years

Qualification: B.E./B.Tech in Civil Engineering

Location: Maharashtra

Travel Requirement: Willingness to travel across Maharashtra project sites

We are looking for an experienced Audit Engineer with a robust background in civil construction, project auditing, billing verification, quantity reconciliation, and cost control for infrastructure and construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

- Conduct internal audits of ongoing construction and infrastructure projects.
- Verify client bills and subcontractor bills against drawings, BOQs, and measurement book (MB) entries.
- Compare quantities billed to clients with quantities paid to subcontractors.
- Perform BOQ reconciliation and material reconciliation for cement, reinforcement steel, aggregates, structural steel, and other major materials.
- Review project estimates, quantity calculations, and contractual conditions.
- Monitor project budgets and compare actual expenses against estimated costs.
- Verify subcontractor liabilities, material recoveries, and plant/equipment utilization before certification.
- Identify billing discrepancies, cost variations, and opportunities for cost control.




- Review extra-item claims and assist in rate negotiations with clients.
- Prepare audit reports and monthly project review presentations.
- Coordinate with project, billing, purchase, engineering, and accounts teams to resolve audit observations.

Required Skills

- Strong knowledge of civil construction, quantity surveying, and project billing.
- Hands-on experience in internal project audits and centralized billing certification.
- Expertise in BOQ, MB verification, quantity calculations, and material reconciliation.
- Knowledge of cost control, budget monitoring, and subcontractor bill certification.
- Proficiency in MS Excel and construction documentation.
- Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.

Candidate Requirements

- Experience in civil construction or infrastructure projects.
- Prior experience in internal audit, project audit, billing verification, or centralized certification is preferred.
- Must be comfortable travelling across Maharashtra project locations.
