Position: Assistant Manager Assembly
Department: Production / Assembly
Reporting To: Deputy Manager / Manager Production
Key Responsibilities
- Manage daily assembly production and achieve production targets.
- Monitor OEE/OLE, productivity, cycle time, downtime, and line efficiency.
- Plan and optimize manpower through line balancing and multi-skilling.
- Ensure quality compliance with SOP, PFMEA, Control Plan, and work instructions.
- Lead root cause analysis (5 Why, 8D, Fishbone) and implement corrective actions.
- Support current product development (NPD), trials, and production launches.
- Drive Lean Manufacturing, Kaizen, 5S, productivity, and cost reduction initiatives.
- Ensure material availability, FIFO compliance, and inventory control.
- Coordinate maintenance activities to reduce equipment downtime.
- Ensure compliance with EHS, safety standards, and audit requirements.
- Lead and develop Engineers, Supervisors, and Operators.
- Prepare and monitor production KPIs and MIS reports.
Educational Qualification
- B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in ETC,
Production, or Industrial Engineering.
Experience
- 68 years of experience in Assembly/Production, preferably in Automotive/Auto Component manufacturing.
