We are hiring Freight Brokers for our UK logistics process. You will match customer loads with reliable hauliers and carriers across the UK, and you will manage each shipment from booking to delivery. You will work with UK customers and carriers every day, so robust spoken and written English is essential.
Key responsibilities
- Receive load requests from UK customers and quote competitive rates
- Source and book suitable carriers and hauliers for each load
- Negotiate rates with carriers to protect margin
- Track shipments and give customers regular updates
- Resolve delays, damages and other delivery issues quickly
- Maintain accurate records of bookings, rates and documents (POD, invoices)
- Build and maintain strong relationships with carriers and customers
- Meet daily and monthly targets for loads booked and margin
Requirements
- 1–4 years in freight brokerage, logistics, dispatch or carrier sales (UK or US process preferred)
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Good negotiation, communication and problem-solving skills
- Basic computer skills (MS Office, email, and a TMS or load board if possible)
- Graduate in any stream
- Able to work from our Mohali office on a 5.5-day week
Good to have
- Knowledge of UK road freight, FTL/LTL and pallet networks
- Experience with a TMS or freight portal
- Existing carrier or customer relationships
