Your Role

- As a Technology Architect, you will design and govern the cloud infrastructure landscape with a robust focus on Microsoft Azure (landing zones, subscriptions, RBAC models etc.).

- Beyond architecture, you provide guardrails for operations and enable FinOps practices to ensure transparency and efficiency.

- You will be a trusted advisor for both IT and business stakeholders, shaping the technical foundation of MAHLE cloud strategy.

Responsibilities

- Design standardized Azure infrastructure architectures (IaaS & PaaS).

- Design architecture regarding landing zones, subscriptions, and RBAC models.[SH1] [LO2]

- Establish FinOps best practice for cost optimization, reporting, and budgeting.

- Ensure high availability, scalability, and operational reliability of the Azure platform.

- Provide designs enabling automation using Infrastructure-as-Code (Terraform, Bicep, ARM).

- Define and publish architectural reference designs to be used as global standards in MAHLE IT

- Establish guardrails to ensure compliance with security, data protection, and regulatory requirements.

- Provide technical guidance on cloud infrastructure and platform architecture and act as point of contact for related topics

- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define cloud architecture strategies aligned with business goals.

- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to operative teams on Azure services and cloud-native design patterns.

- Ensure compliance with security, governance, and regulatory requirements in cloud solutions.

Your Profile





- Proven senior-level expertise

- Strong expertise in Microsoft Azure services (compute, storage, networking, identity, monitoring, security).

- Several years of Experience with cloud governance frameworks and Azure Landing Zones.

- Skilled in Infrastructure-as-Code and automation concepts.

- Experience in establishing cloud native and hybrid architectures.

- Strong communication skills, customer orientation, and analytical thinking

- Fluent in both written and spoken English

- Proficiency in cloud architecture frameworks and methodologies

- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to communicate complex technical concepts clearly (on C-level).

- Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.

- Understanding of architectural framework (TOGAF, IAF, Zachmann) (certification will be treated as an advantage)

- Awareness of ITIL or similar framework (certificate as a plus)

- Certified or proven knowledge on the level of AZ-305 (certification will be treated as an advantage)

- Complementary certifications like AZ-104 or AZ-500 will be seen as an advantage

Nice to Have

- Experience with DevOps practices and CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, GitHub).

- Knowledge of containerized workloads and Kubernetes (AKS).

- Knowledge of FinOps and cost management best practices.

- Experience with hybrid cloud environments and integration with on-premises systems.

- Knowledge of security frameworks and tools (e.g., Azure Security Center, Defender for Cloud).
