We don't need another Project Manager.
We need someone who can hold the fort.
Technical Project Manager - Enterprise Delivery Leadership
Chennai | 10-15 Years | Full-Time | Notice: 60 Days Max A WORD FROM OUR FOUNDER
I built this company. I won the clients. I made the promises. And then I spent the last two years putting out fires that a valuable delivery leader should have caught before they became fires.
If you have been in enough project rooms to know that a burndown chart can lie, that a client going quiet is worse than a client shouting, and that the real job is not managing tasks but managing trust read on. That is who we are looking for.
We are a growing Product Engineering and IT services firm. Our clients are enterprises. Our commitments are high-stakes. We need someone who walks into this role and takes the delivery burden completely off my desk. Not partially. Completely.
WHAT HAS BEEN BREAKING - HONESTLY The problems below are things we have lived. If you have solved versions of these before, you are the person we need.
The Problem vs What It Costs Us
- Delays show up on demo day, not two weeks before - CEO is the last to know and the first to apologize to the client
- PMs relay bad news instead of solving it - Every blocker escalates to the founder before it should
- Clients call me directly when things go sideways - I become the default escalation point for delivery failures
- Sprint velocity looks fine. Delivery quality doesn't - Metrics are green. Client is unhappy. Nobody connects the dots.
- Teams hide slippages until they're unrecoverable - We over-promise and scramble trust erodes with the client
- No single version of truth on project status - Every meeting starts with 15 minutes of getting aligned on basics
WHAT THIS ROLE ACTUALLY IS You are not here to attend standups and update Jira. You are here to own outcomes. Here is what that means day-to-day:
-> Own delivery end-to-end.
You are the single point of accountability for every project under your watch. Not the tech lead. Not the QA. You.
-> Be the early warning system. You catch slippages before the CEO does. You present problems with solutions, not just status updates.
-> Hold the client relationship. Clients trust you the way they trust the CEO. They don't need to call upward because you have already handled it.
-> Be technically credible. You know the tech well enough to challenge estimates, spot architectural risk, and call out scope creep without writing a single line of code.
-> Drive the engine room. Sprint rituals run on your energy. You set the pace. You don't wait for the team to get moving.
-> Release accountability is yours. You own the release. You decide the go/no-go. You carry it across the finish line.
-> Report truth, not comfort. You give leadership one clean, honest view of project health no spin, no surprises.
YOU ARE THE RIGHT PERSON IF
These are non-negotiable character traits, not just skill checkboxes.
-> You have lived the chaos of a slipping project and personally pulled it back not by working harder, but by thinking clearer.
-> You have told a client a hard truth before the deadline and kept the relationship intact.
-> You have overruled a tech team's timeline estimate and been right about it.
-> You do not wait for permission to flag a risk. You flag it, own it, and bring the mitigation.
-> You have been the person a founder trusted to represent the company in a client room without supervision.
-> You feel genuinely uncomfortable when Jira is clean but something feels off. You investigate.
-> You have managed engineers who are smarter than you at code and they respected you anyway.
THE PROFILE WE ARE HIRING
Experience & Background
-> 10-15 years in IT with a clear arc from developer or tech lead into delivery management
-> Strong working knowledge of React.js, Angular, Node.js, Java, and Spring Boot enough to interrogate a tech team's decisions
-> Comfortable with AWS-hosted systems (EC2, S3, Lambda, RDS) you understand the infra context of what you are delivering
-> Hands-on with Kafka or event-driven architecture you know what async complexity means for delivery timelines
-> Agile / Scrum practitioner Jira is a tool you have mastered, not one you manage around
-> Experience managing enterprise clients not internal stakeholders, actual paying clients with SLAs
Operating Style
-> Proactive, not reactive. You surface problems before they surface themselves
-> Outcome-driven. You care about what shipped, not what was planned
-> Calm under pressure. The team looks to you when things get hard
-> Honest with leadership. You give us the real picture, not the comfortable one
-> Structured communicator. Client-facing updates are clear, concise, and always prepared
Good to Have
-> Microservices architecture exposure you understand distributed system delivery risk
-> CI/CD and DevOps familiarity you know what a healthy release pipeline looks like
-> Docker / Kubernetes awareness enough to have an informed conversation with DevOps
-> PMP, CSM, or equivalent certification (valued, not required)
If this reads like a written for you - that is intentional.
We have worked with people who managed projects. We are now looking for someone who owns delivery. If that is you, we want to hear from you.
